What footwear do you wear to the beach?

Whenever we go to a new beach, we take our water shoes, just in case. Lands End has some really cute ones, ladies! :cool:

Water shoes while on the beach and in the water. Teva sandals for walking everywhere else.

The ideal would be one very comfortable pair of shoes good for the beach, the water, and walking everywhere else, eliminating any need to bring an extra pair of shoes along.

 

But guess I would still need another pair of shoes for formal night. ;)

Crocs. Easy to take and carry in the sand. I hate water shoes.

I'm going to order these to replace the Merrel's I've been wearing for years.

 

They are similar but the ones I loved (owned 3 pairs) are no longer available.

I've travelled everywhere with my Keens. LOVE them. They have sandals of all sortsas well as a mesh watershoe type shoe for men. I love the toe bumper, never have to worry about a stubbed toe!

They quit making my favorite Merrel sandals too! I've bought a couple of different styles, but they are not as good.

We go with the ever stylish, formally called... Tennis shoes, sneakers, tenn-a-shoes, athletic shoes, cross trainers, deck shoes, or whatever we packed. As the watch, they take a licking and keep on ticking.

Love these ones, so cool and comfortable, easy to clean, very lightweight and come in lots of different colours. (Don't assume they are ugly just because of the name :p

Personally, I find fitflops to be very comfortable. They have good arch support and cushioning. They're also wide set so they fit my feet well. I buy them based on comfort though, and not for any claims they may have made in the past.

I always wear warer shoes of some kind. I also wear them in the water after stepping on a sea urchin a few years ago. I was fortunate as it felt as if I was stepping on a broken bottle and was able to keep from putting all of my weight on it. I ended up with many little broken off spines in my foot that looked like little wood slivers but not like another person that had them penetrate thru her foot.

They are the best. Lots of support and great for the beach.

There are lots of styles and colours to choose from so it's important to try them on.I order mine directly from the Keen Canada website.
