Davey Wavey Posted January 22, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2015 I haven't been on a sailing where they sang every night. But they have always danced on a few nights.
klfrodo Posted January 22, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Thankfully, Yes they do Sailed on RCCL's Freedom of the Seas this past summer and this was one of the small "Fun" things I missed.

SadieN Posted January 22, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Not every night but at least twice they will do the 'dirty napkin' dance. Never understood why people twirl there dirty napkins after dinner. Crumbs everywhere.

quest2best Posted January 22, 2015 #13 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Sang the last night on the Liberty. Danced two or three nights out of five. One of our favorite parts about eating in the main dining room :)
fuddrules Posted January 22, 2015 #14 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Sang the last night on the Liberty. Danced two or three nights out of five. One of our favorite parts about eating in the main dining room :) One of the best dancers I've seen works the MDR on the Elation. All eyes in the dining room were on her in the area she danced. I noticed the Carnival employees stopped what they were doing and got in an area they could watch her. Everyone seemed to enjoy it.
Bob NC Posted January 22, 2015 #15 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Not every night but at least twice they will do the 'dirty napkin' dance. Never understood why people twirl there dirty napkins after dinner. Crumbs everywhere. Last week on the Splendor during dinner I hear this guy at the next table have this extremely loud sneeze. I look over and he is sneezing and blowing his nose into his napkin. Yep, less than 3 minutes later he is whipping that napkin around over his head like crazy. Gross me out much? I'm not a fan of the "terrible towel" waving.
YubaSutter Posted January 22, 2015 #16 Share Posted January 22, 2015 I hate the song and dance routine. Makes me feel like I'm eating at a Chuck E Cheese.
djyellowsub Posted January 22, 2015 #17 Share Posted January 22, 2015 For people with any time dining, when is the best time to go eat to avoid the singing and dancing? The napkin swinging definitely doesn't sound all that appetizing.

Bob NC Posted January 22, 2015 #20 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Boy some of you sure worry about 5 min . Look, this is a discussion board. I honestly don't think anyone is really "worried" about that 5 minutes. Should topics be restricted to world peace, cancer and pediatric aids? Geez man, relax. The napkin swinging definitely doesn't sound all that appetizing. About 90 minutes into traditional dining times. So 7:30 and 9:45 for dining times 6p and 8:15. YMMV. kona_wahine Posted January 22, 2015 #25 Share Posted January 22, 2015 We do your time dining and try to get there when it begins. Our last cruise was on the liberty and missed it completely. I really dislike it, just think it's dumb. (For lack of a better word)
