Yorkvillain Posted May 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2015 Having just booked the Navigator for 2017, I was trying to think of what the Freedom class has that the updated Navigator doesn't have even with the recent additions of the Flowrider, Chops, Giovanni's Table, Sabor, Izumi, Vintages, flat screens in staterooms, etc. Am I missing anything else in my list below besides a few more passengers on the Freeedom class? Sorrentos (but obviously there is pizza in Cafe Promenade) Cantilevered hot tubs On-Air Club Squeeze Juice Bar on pool deck H2O Zone This was all just out of curiosity. I love both classes. InsideCruiser Posted May 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2015 Doesn't pertain to the entire class, but Liberty has "Saturday Night Fever" which makes it a bit more appealing to me than a 2nd Generation Voyager. IC

Rare nbsjcruiser Posted May 26, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 26, 2015 I'd be interested int he difference as well. Having cruised 3 times on the Indy over the last 3 years, we've got a couple of cruises booked on the Navigator. One this fall (8 day eastern) and then a 9 day going to the ABC islands in 2017. Aquahound Posted May 26, 2015 #11 Share Posted May 26, 2015 (edited) That is the biggest advantage of Voyager class! Just thought of another difference: No peek-a-boo bridge on Freedom class. Didn't the recently refitted NOS loose this feature? I could be wrong, but I don't think it's on the deck plans anymore. racerxspeedy Posted May 26, 2015 #14 Share Posted May 26, 2015 The freedom class Solarium pool is different - larger with bridge. I think there may be an additional shop on the promenade - Ben and jerrys suite I believe the gym space is a little larger as well - at least feels that way. The Big Booper Posted May 26, 2015 #16 Share Posted May 26, 2015 Freedom class is a stretched Voyager class with an additional 500 pax but with no additional elevators. Even with this, I still prefer the Freedom class.

I think the spread is between 300 and 700 depending on if it has been upgraded with new cabins.
dreamer976 Posted May 26, 2015 #19 Share Posted May 26, 2015 I don't know the #'s, but staterooms were added to Navigator during its 2014 dry dock as well. Also saw some post-dry dock pictures from Navigator including some that were obviously taken from the Peek-A-Boo Bridge.

sky0000547 Posted May 26, 2015 #22 Share Posted May 26, 2015 I have not been on Voyager class yet but in photos I have seen the Royal Promenade looks narrower than the Freedom class. Possible optical illusion?

Possible optical illusion? Same width of Royal Promenade between Voyager and Freedom class. They would feel even wider if that that crap was removed from the center, creating choke points. kruzerci Posted May 26, 2015 #25 Share Posted May 26, 2015 The most noticeable for us is the Freedom class balconies are about twice as deep as Navigator and Mariner.
