I'm thinking that I need to call Carnival to cancel my original water orders at the old prices, or have them changed to the new product and price?

 

I have 4 cruises coming up and I ordered water for each one. at the old prices when I originally booked.

Have you never been to Costco or Sam's Club? While a good deal as far as Carnival prices are concerned, it is still 3 times the cost of the club prices. If Carnival ever wakes up and gets reasonable with alcohol pricing they make rake in the dough. This clearly is not a glitch, probably a test case for lowering prices to raise sales.

Ordered! Normally I would never pay for bottled water, but this gal likes a bargain. Having a fresh bottle of water for the gym every day seems worth 3 bucks! Tip of the hat to the OP who discovered this and for the poor Carnival programmer who made the error (be kind to him/her, Carnival -- he/she made many of your loyal customers very happy today). :D

I was not charged a tax and I ordered it for my cruise in Europe.

 

I did not pay tax either.

 

I purchased water for an October 2015 cruise on the Splendor out of Norfolk and an October 2016 cruise on the Vista out of Barcelona. I live in Virginia so not sure what the rule is on paying tax. No big deal either way.

It was a great deal for a Carnival sale, but I get water at Sams' for 40 bottles for 3.98. I ordered one for the first day and one for the 5th day and was not charged tax on the one while at sea.

Just ordered one for my Sept 24 B2B cruise on Paradise. I read this last night, and figgured it had to be a mistake, and Carnival would change it pretty quick.

Tonight it's still there, so I took advantage of it.

Since they charge over $20 for 8 lg bottles, I have a feeling that price was supposed to read $12.95, at least. But I'll take the $2.95 happily. Great deal
