This isn't really even the correction. It will likely drop extensively (maybe up to 30%) over the next several months.

Hope it won't go down that much!

For us it was $19/ share. Sold 750 shares @ $51

WOW you must have purchased more than 100 shares..We only purchased 100, & wish we had more.. This year for the first time we called & had our broker re-invest our dividends in more stock..:)

but many of the brokers and hedge fund managers who are causing this belong in THE HOUSE OF CORRECTION. Individual stock holders aren't dumping.

It's going to be a long ride. China will devaluate imports/exports to bring down any other economy because they have a massive bubble with no true mechanism to let it self-correct. This is the iceberg's tip IMO.

... Time to buy?

My crystal ball is still cloudy, darn!

Be patient, as I'm certain that several CCers will be happy to answer your question (with the benefit of 20-20 hindsight) in a couple years ... "When the market bottomed out in XXX, I/we bought YYY000 shares of CCL stock at 10 cents a share - wish I had bought more!"

Some fear we are in for a severe Recession.....

The Feds were ready to raise interest rates but that isn't likely right now.

Going to be an interesting upcoming week with the Dow.

Interesting to watch Carnival stock along the way.

The world economy, for sure it's possible. The USD will be stronger and stronger so it won't be felt here quite as badly in other countries (still no picnic, of course, as the market will shrink). Canada, Australia, Brazil and all of Asia all are facing a very bad economic situation dead in the eyes, unfortunately. :(
