Our Celebrity status gives us Diamond status on RCI.

 

Diamond status essentially provides us, cabin category is not considered, access to the lounge complete with concierge. Continental breakfast, various coffees all day, sandwiches in the day, food and open bar at night 5-8PM. Plus, three drinks each are loaded on to our room card. We can use them at any bar except the dining room 5-8PM. Plus some internet and a few stateroom treats.

 

BUT, this is not something that would be a deciding factor for us to buy an RCI cruise. Our last RCI cruise was lacking in some areas that are important to us. Most especially when compared to the Princess cruise that we enjoyed three three weeks earlier or the wonderful RCI cruise that we had last November. It has us questioning whether we should bother with another one.

 

So for us, the cross brand recognition programs are nice but they do not play a significant part in our decision to select a ship/cruise line.

This is TERRIBLE music they're playing before the announcement.

 

BTW the announcement is in a dark room with a projection TV. This is not the setup for anything significant. The room is small, intimate and traditional. Nothing over-the-top of hyped at all.

 

Music is now exotic, before it was some crazy nonsense. :)
