Allure of the Seas Live March 13-27 -- High Tides and Great Vibes

Recommended Posts

Tonight was the first formal night. So after dinner we went back up to our cabin to get into something more comfortable. We went off to do some adventuring around the ship and ended up at Adventure Ocean. We decided to tickle the ivory, it was very big of us.

We hit the arcade with a Owen, and he probably spent as much money in five minutes as we put in the slot machine in the same amount of time. It really is the kids casino.

So after an hour of meandering the ship we decided that we needed some sort of wrap up to the night. We ended up at the Windjammer for ice cream as if we really needed it. [emoji15] If I see the Twilight Zone on TBS on the ship, I'm getting off at the next port.

Once there we did see this gentleman carving some great pieces.

Is the bacon an appetizer? Just wondering if it is in the menu or not.

Yes it is on the menu. It is no Peter Luger bacon, but it is pretty darn good. Let's just say that little pig that went to market was very flavourful.

Thanks. You have provided me, along with the collective rest of us, with wonderful journeys so it is the least I could do.

A few bits of information to share. The Captain is Captain Johnny. The weather has been awesome and seas have been smooth as glass so far. There was a medical departure from the ship previous to our sailing today from Nassau. We were delayed a bit, but not by much. The individual was sitting upright on a stretcher so hopefully all is OK.

We didn't get off in Nassau today, but we did the last time 2 times we sailed there. We actually went to Atlantis to swim with the Dolphins and the other time we just walked around the streets and braved the straw market. It is interesting that there can be that many vendors selling the exact same stuff and somehow they stay a float.

One thing that caught my eye at the market was a sign on the wall at the entrance. It must be my mind reading it in a naughty way, over a Bahamian expression. I'd like to think they have public washrooms and that people weren't actually soiling the back isles of the straw market. It truly would change the meaning of clean up in isle 2. ;):D:p

Can you find out how much martinis are in champagne bar and connundrum white wine please

We were just on Allure last week and if memory serves, here are a few of the drink prices as I can remember:

Cucumber Martini at Champagne Bar: $15 +18%

Makers Mark Old Fashioned from Trelis: $13.95 +18%

Mojito from Trelis: $11 +18%

Most other drinks we had (I.e. Frozen drinks, etc) were in the Mojito range.

Hope that helps!

Loving your review! Sailing on her on May 8th! Was the ship crowded while docked in port in Nassau? I have done Nassau so many times I was thinking of staying on the ship to get some pool time in. Just wondering if a lot of people might have that idea with me?

This is helpful. We are trying to decide if drink package is worth the cost. Prices have increased alot since our cruise 2 years ago.

Post #206 OP says they stayed onboard. Earlier on he posted a picture of cruisers getting off in large numbers. :)

Here is a quick recap of the day. Today we didn't get of the ship. We did some boogie boarding, a first for me, and some flowriding. Advanced was quiet bit the lineup is now at least 40 minutes. Definitely not worth the wait, even if you can ride.

The chair hogs are out in full force and the basket ball court is busy with tournaments. There are folks in there sweating from every pore on their body to win a shinny tin medal. I chatted with the mother of one Team that included her husband and 3 sons. Their last name was Small, and their team name was Smaller Ballers. Unfortunately the host missed the "er" part and just called them Small Balls. It was funny and the mom was laughing too. I will admit when I won my gold medal for flow riding last fall I wore it all night, strutting around the ship. I offered to wear it to bed, and the look I got said it all.

The band has been playing out by the pool deck and the dodge ball tournament is about to start. There will soon be another bunch of guys and gals out to have a blast and maybe prove something along the way. Hopefully none of them get seriously beaned in their pie hole (mouth) or anywhere that might hurt worse.

We took a stroll down the RP to see what was up after lunch. There was a long line up for the free charms, from the shopping talk and it was the length of On Air. I took no photos as I didn't want to single anyone out. I also didn't want to single out the folks waiting for the diamond fashion show to start right in front of the car. There was also a watch sale and Gucci Bag sale. My favourite is the $10 hat and scarf sale. I might periscope that one, as you think those folks would never have the chance to buy a hat again.

I will however single out the small piece of Willy Wonka Pie that was tasty from the Cafe Prominade. Thanks Karen for pointing out this tasty little treat. They were all out to of lollipop cheese cake, so a stop will happen another day.

As I said earlier today it is a C day and it definitely turns out to have two meanings. The main one being we are at sea all day and the other C is code, for cash.

Andrew - Harmony Sept. 30, 2017 all booked. I'm sure if you were home you would have beat me to the punch here:

Now I have to try and convince Clarea to give the Oasis-class one more shot and join us.

Bob, I'll start with this - two words: Solarium Bistro :)
