Allure of the Seas Live March 13-27 -- High Tides and Great Vibes

Recommended Posts

Andrew - Harmony Sept. 30, 2017 all booked. I'm sure if you were home you would have beat me to the punch here:

Now I have to try and convince Clarea to give the Oasis-class one more shot and join us.

Bob, I'll start with this - two words: Solarium Bistro :)

Tim, I'm not the one you have to convince. Also, that date is not good for us as we have a transatlantic a couple of weeks after.

Here is a quick recap of the day. Today we didn't get of the ship. We did some boogie boarding, a first for me, and some flowriding. Advanced was quiet bit the lineup is now at least 40 minutes. Definitely not worth the wait, even if you can ride.

The chair hogs are out in full force and the basket ball court is busy with tournaments. There are folks in there sweating from every pore on their body to win a shinny tin medal. I chatted with the mother of one Team that included her husband and 3 sons. Their last name was Small, and their team name was Smaller Ballers. Unfortunately the host missed the "er" part and just called them Small Balls. It was funny and the mom was laughing too. I will admit when I won my gold medal for flow riding last fall I wore it all night, strutting around the ship. I offered to wear it to bed, and the look I got said it all.

The band has been playing out by the pool deck and the dodge ball tournament is about to start. There will soon be another bunch of guys and gals out to have a blast and maybe prove something along the way. Hopefully none of them get seriously beaned in their pie hole (mouth) or anywhere that might hurt worse.

We took a stroll down the RP to see what was up after lunch. There was a long line up for the free charms, from the shopping talk and it was the length of On Air. I took no photos as I didn't want to single anyone out. I also didn't want to single out the folks waiting for the diamond fashion show to start right in front of the car. There was also a watch sale and Gucci Bag sale. My favourite is the $10 hat and scarf sale. I might periscope that one, as you think those folks would never have the chance to buy a hat again.

I will however single out the small piece of Willy Wonka Pie that was tasty from the Cafe Prominade. Thanks Karen for pointing out this tasty little treat. They were all out to of lollipop cheese cake, so a stop will happen another day.

As I said earlier today it is a C day and it definitely turns out to have two meanings. The main one being we are at sea all day and the other C is code, for cash.

Note taken....Willy Wonka pie from Café Promenade. No idea what it is, but sounds yummy if related to Charlie and the chocolate factory.

How did you like the boogie boarding? You were very good at the stand up so must have been a breeze.

Tonight's it's a three S night. A shower, a shave and Sabor. Following that we are off to Ocean Aria. There is definitely a great chance of food porn later tonight. If you play your cards right there might even be some periscope FP action too. :)

Today's lunch totals

Hot Dog stand 0 -- Andrew 2

Sorentos 0 -- Owen 3

Hot Dog Stand 0 -- Owen 1

With that tease earlier at sabor you better put out tonight!!!

Tim... You need to hop on board the November 12 Harmony sailing....it's rumored that Andrew will be shopping for something 'pink' , although it may not be a Boa or a Fedora....[emoji15]

Just joined in. Glad I'm not too late to the party, and this will help me while away the time for the next 10.5 days!

We did our first B2B on Allure this same time of year in 2011; we enjoyed it so much we did the same thing the following year on Oasis. Only we reversed the itineraries: east/west, then west east.

I've downloaded Periscope, too, and hope to catch some action tomorrow!!

Thank you for taking us along on your cruise!

Travelgoddesses (Karen) told me about it. It is interesting in taste.

Boogie boarding was interesting. I did about 4 runs. I was on my knees on run two and on my last run I tried a 360. Emphasis on the word try.

Perfect. I might check in on the roll call soon, maybe tonight. At least it should not be as quiet as your Grandeur one.

Maybe something nice for Lisa. [emoji1] The other option could be a Borat swim suit. Imagine that on the flow rider, hopefully no wardrobe malfunction would happen.

Chris, they have life rings for drinks here. You need 4 pack if I remember correctly.

Time for a little food porn. It's a good thing they don't have fish tacos, as the jokes might never end. The photos don't do it justice but the empty plates tell the tale.

Chips with salsa and guacamole, Beef tacos, chicken quesadillas, and the beef short rib. Service was fast and the food was tasty. A couple of cold cokes two wash it down.

What can't you say about Ocean Aria. Here's just a few random photos from the show.

Maureencruiser, since you like them thick and juicy, the beefcake is for you.

The dish in front of Owen, are those the beef short rib tacos? Do the tortillas come on the side?

100% correct. They had hard some hard shell Tacos for Owen but Lisa went with the homemade ones. Lisa and Owen split them and they were tasty.

If at some point you periscope the guy pouring the au jus sauce on the roastbeef sandwich, I may pass out.

I could only imagine what might happen if I showed one while riding a sea doo. St Martin is coming up in a few days. [emoji6]
