Mr&MrsBee Posted March 15, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2016 We have always enjoyed Bistro on Five on embarkation day. Now that will be a thing of the past what are the options other than Aqua Spa or the Poolside Grill. We are not in a suite. Thanks for the info. CruisersTimesThree Posted March 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2016 We have always enjoyed Bistro on Five on embarkation day. Now that will be a thing of the past what are the options other than Aqua Spa or the Poolside Grill. We are not in a suite. Thanks for the info. As far as I understand, Bistro on 5 is still on all ships except for the Reflection where they are "testing" Sushi on 5. I was told by the shore-side concierge of the Summit that it takes quite awhile for the changeover to happen on all ships *if* they decide to do it. I am hoping that Bistro is still intact on the Summit when I sail her in August. It is my favorite place for lunch when first getting onboard. Besides the options you mentioned, there is also the buffet. Suite guests I believe can have lunch in Luminae on embarkation day, which will be my option if Bistro is gone. Someone please correct me if I am wrong....thanks!
helen haywood Posted March 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 15, 2016 You are correct. Bistro on 5 should be open in embarkation day on any ship other than Reflection which is the only ship (so far) to change over to Sushi on 5. az_tchr Posted March 15, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 15, 2016 The Oceanview which seats some 800 people is still there. The grill is my favorite as you get everything cooked fresh and then simply walk to where you would like to eat.

Rare cruisestitch Posted March 17, 2016 #11 Share Posted March 17, 2016 Some, including myself, use Sillho instead of Sillie when referring to Silhouette. Connie and Millie are long-time nicknames, but the other ships never really got any nicknames that have caught on. Within the company, there are two-letter codes for each ship -- EC is Eclipse, EQ is Equinox….
jsf Posted March 17, 2016 #12 Share Posted March 17, 2016 I think people use Sillie because they can't spell Siloette. J.

lobster129 Posted May 14, 2016 #16 Share Posted May 14, 2016 Another dining option for embarkation lunch is The Porch on Deck 15 overlooking the grass, midship. It does include a fee for dining....but is not generally too busy during embarkation.
ClaudiaB Posted May 14, 2016 #17 Share Posted May 14, 2016 (edited) I have heard this before, and quite frankly, it just seems rather childish...... Exactly. To me (and it may be only me) those cutesy nicknames for big ships (why????) are kind of fingernail/chalkboard. And I'll follow you out the door in my flame-proof duds. GordonJasmine Posted May 15, 2016 #23 Share Posted May 15, 2016 We were on the April 3 sailing of the Eclipse and loved Bistro on 5. One of the waiters there told us that it was definitely going to be changed to sushi. Ugh! I hope he wasn't right!!!!!
