Patti had her usual butter pecan ice cream, while I had the cherries jubilee…..

Tonight, the wait staff entertained us with their rendition of “That’s Amore”…..

After dinner, Patti was feeling a little tired, so she elected to head back to the cabin. I went back to the Casino Royale and played blackjack at a $15 table until it was time for the 11:15 adult comedy show. I wound up winning another$100. Tonight’s comedian, The Cowboy Comedian, was very good.

Afterwards it was back to the cabin where Patti was now fast asleep. Before turning in, she took photos of tonight’s turndown service. Look at all the stuff on the bed……

The VIFP gifts for this cruise were the Tervis Cups. I was surprised by that, as I had thought that these were long gone. You can never have enough Tervis Cups!

What is that on the elephants head?

CF381.JPG

CF382.JPG

Why it’s an anniversary card from our stateroom steward Raj. It also had a gift card for a free photo. That was a nice touch!

CF384.JPG

There is also an envelope addressed to me……

CF390.JPG

It was an invitation from Captain Gianluca Longhin for the Diamond event. We will be having brunch with the Captain on the last sea day. That’s always a good time!

CF391.JPG

It was a pretty good day. Patti was feeling a little better, we had a great brunch and dinner, I did well playing blackjack, and I was in the slot finals. Goodnight!!

Coming up next: Our day in Freeport.

Thanks!! Prep work today, more posting tomorrow.

Thanks for coming along for the ride again! It was the first time for Patti in an interior cabin. Yes, I know I've spoiled her! :D She actually didn't mind it at all. We used the trick of leaving the television on at night with the bow view camera and the sound off. When it got light outside, it got lighter in our cabin.

Thanks for the tip about leaving the tv on.

Did you and Patti purchase the Cheers package? If so, how did you like the new additions?

No we didn't. Patti is not a big drinker, and less so on this cruise because she was not feeling well. If I could purchase it myself, it would be worth it.

Welcome to Freeport, Bahamas!!!

CF393.jpg

We awoke at 8am, and according to the bow view camera on our television, we are already docked in Freeport. It looks like a nice sunny day outside…..

CF394.JPG

After having a light breakfast at the Coconut Grove, we pulled the camera out and took some photos of the Freeport Harbour area. Here are a couple of the Freeport Harbour sign…..

CF395.JPG

CF396.JPG

Here’s a view looking down at the Fascination’s gangway. Doesn’t seem like too many people are in a hurry to get off the ship…..

CF400.JPG

This is the security gate that you need to pass through leaving and coming back to the ship…..

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Lines Grand Celebration was in port with us. You may remember her as Carnival’s Celebration. She was a ship that we sailed on both early, and late in her Carnival career. She now does two day cruises from West Palm Beach to Freeport……

CF407.JPG

CF405.JPG

They have modified her whale tail a bit…..

CF406.JPG

There is a great picture review by DarthGrady that shows what the Grand Celebration looks like now. I wouldn’t mind sailing on her again. Here’s the link:

There are three ships in drydock at the Grand Bahama Shipyard. This is where Carnival sends most of their ships to be drydocked…..

The Carnival Triumph is presently here getting her 2.0 upgrades…..

Serenity is real serene this morning…..

CF421.JPG

All in all, Freeport is a very industrialized port…..

CF422.JPG

Our plan for today is to grab a cab and head over to Port Lucaya, but Patti is still not feeling well, and doesn’t want to venture to far from the ship. No problem. Patti can browse the shops here in Freeport Harbour, and I can spend some “quality” time at Senor Frog’s! Here we are getting off the ship…..

How exciting- I haven't looked at this site since right after our last cruise in February and it was such a pleasant surprise to log on tonight and find another review from you and Patti.

I see you are coming to visit me in September :) I look forward to reading your review of my home state of Maine. Feel free to reach out with any Portland questions!

Jamman, I always like to get the ship t shirts with the statistics on them and the picture of the ship but haven't been able to find any recently in the gift shops. :(:( I see you have a bunch of them. I don't have Splendor, Liberty or Pride.

Sure hope Patti starts feeling better and it was nothing too serious. Glad she was still able to go "out and about." We debarked the Pride on Easter Sunday :( and I was wondering if they had anything special for Easter dinner, but guess not. we were on the Pirde over St. Pat's Day and they made a BIG DEAL of it, including a special dessert! And I also have to mention again about Petti's hair-I hate to keep repeating myself, but it looks GREAT longer! :)

Hey Karry!! Patti was a lot better once we got to Nassau. I was surprised that they didn't have a special menu for Easter. We were on the Pride last Easter, and they did have a special menu. Patti likes her hair longer, but says it's a PITA to take care of!:)
