Allure Royal Suite Class - About to have a first hand experience

Recommended Posts

We are from South Wales in the UK. It will be myself, wife and two teenaged daughter's. We are spending a week in Orlando before the cruise and a night in Fort Lauderdale. It's great that you don't smoke as either do we, but my daughter's tell me that I'm full of hot air. I can't wait now, as like you the star class was added after we book "what a bonus that was". :)

Whales....there we have it! Looking forward to the cruise and it's a bonus to know who our neighbors are. Especially since y'all could spit on us if you choose! :-)

We just booked suite 9330 for the January 15 sailing. Really excited and looking forward to it!

Specialty ice cream from store/Starbucks is also included as Star perk?

Looking into flights and would love to be on a 1030 flight, I know its early but wondering if we get walked off boat if we can make it. Can anyone advise how long took them from disembarking to getting to airport?

Thanks!

For us Scoops and Starbucks coffee was included.

With the escorted walk off you will be in a cab within 10-15 minutes of leaving your suite (unless there's something beyond ships control). The Port is basically next to the airport. It's one of the few times I would risk such an early flight.

Star, Sea, and Sky all go in the same suite door. At that door they check your SetSail pass and split you into two lines, sea/sky and star. If you are sea/sky, you still leave your luggage outside with porter as normal. You go directly to security checkpoint. Star class folks bring bags to the suite entrance. They'll put them in cart and move them to be X-ray'ed. Once clear, they're taken directly to your cabin. The bags beat us to the room since the genie took us to Starbucks first.

Did the Genie meet you at the suite door? Also right when you check in do you get to board? We are in the 1720 room and leaving in Sept. Thanks

Quick update... The genies CAN reserve a cabana for you on the suite deck. Just let him know what day and they'll take care of it.

awesome!!!!!

Great perk. We were on Oasis in Nov '15 and the Suite deck Cabanas were hard to get. I think cruisers went up there early and "staked them out" with stuff. We were able to enjoy one a bit late in the day on a Sea Day. Enjoy!!! :)

How do you define 'late in the day'

The Genie meets you just inside the suite entrance. Then they take you to check in. Then straight on the ship. You will be in your cabin within 10 minutes of getting to the pier. With your luggage a few minutes behind. Enjoy 1720. Great cabin.

Has anybody cruised NCL in the past staying in a suite with butler and other services and then tried the Royal Suite class Star class? I am looking to find out what peoples preferences are in regards to the suite perks and which is better?? I am booked in the skyloft Suite in RCCL and debating going with NCL on future cruises as they have the suite perks on more ships going to different locations. Thanks for your help in advance.

We've booked the Garden Villa twice on NCL Dawn and had the services of a butler who was assigned to only the two Garden Villas on the top deck.

I also just recently returned to RCI and had the Sky Loft on the Allure. In my opinion the Allure was a lot more fun and the services provided by our Royal Genie were first rate. Not intrusive but very efficient and dedicated to ensuring we had a blast.

We've already booked our next Sky Loft on the Allure so that should tell you our thoughts.

Just cabin swapped yesterday for our August Allure cruise from a CLS to the RLS. I was waiting for months for "our" 1720 to open but it never did. I was hoping at final payment it might have, but it didn't.

On Monday the RLS opened up and was available for 3. I waited a week and after it dropped $500 pp. I cracked and booked it. DW says I am "cracked" alright.;) Soon we will give the genies a go and see if we like it.

You answered my question - which Star cabin did Andrew get for August ? Congrats. Will be interesting to hear of your Genie experience and if it's any different since the RLS was supposed to get extra touches before this program.

That might just be a part of my post cruise shake down. It might just be another good review to follow. :)

Sounds awesome for all those perks. Get your money's worth. ;)

Thanks

We booked the Harmony 2 BR Aquatheater Suite for 4 people, two couples. Our cost was 11,200.00. We think it's a great deal considering all the benefits. We travel in October 2017, so booked well in advance.

Same here! I see you're booked for the 10-21 sailing, we're on the 10-14 one. What cabin? We're 8330. If you're in the same I'll leave you a note! :)

We are in the same cabin. Looked like the best one on the ship based on location and balcony size.

Agreed. We always cruise in a suite (rather go fewer times in a suite than more in a balcony) and since we always get beverage packages, Internet, etc. anyway there was a lot of value for this vs. a GS. And since we're going for my 40th birthday figured we could justify spending a bit more for the kids and us to take it up a notch! :)

After reading through this whole thread and seeing the benefits of this suite life (bah dum dum...) I'm convinced I have to try this once in my lifetime!!!

I priced out a Tahiti cruise for us in the far away future and it was $12K for the two of us. That's just the start. Dropping nearly the same amount on this super VIP service sounds much much better!

Next time someone's on board ask their genie if he can find me a winning lottery ticket :)

We are booked for Jan., 2017 on Allure, ATS deck 10, 730. It is a 2 bedroom suite, can anyone tell me if it qualifies for star class? Thanks in advance.

We are in the exact suite on Allure in December 2017! I would love to hear your thoughts/feedback/suggestions! I hope it was amazing!
