I know you order on an IPAd, but what is the menu like. Do you order just like on a regular menu, app, salad, soup entree dessert, etc or is just selected items to choose from. Also my DH likes to sit at our own table for 2. Can you sit alone or need to sit with other people. Any detailed input would be appreciated. The menu is impossible to explain. You have to experience it. It will only make sense once you sit down and play with the IPad. Your server will walk you through the menu and make suggestions for various courses. Two top tables are plentiful. The restaurant is fun whether just a couple or in a group. So the idea is to order many dishes to share. A table for 2 wouldn't be likely to order as many dishes as a larger table, but there is no restriction based on table size. In which case you'll be able to have a table for 2. When you enter the waiter will discuss how you go about ordering and will usually suggest ordering 4 or 5 dishes to try - although you can really order as much as you like. The food is tapas style, small (well not overly!) dishes to share for example sushi lollipops, spring rolls, fillet mignon selection, fish and chips, sliders, vegetable selections. you should be able to find the menu through searching the board - the menu is split into sections, food genres not starters and mains I don't think. Dessert is ordered in a different way but I don't want to ruin the surprise of it ;) I've tried Qsine twice on the eclipse, the first time I loved the experience but last year I was disappointed. The food just wasn't as good as the first time round. Although you can usually get cut price deals which would tempt me to give it another go. Why don't you get on your cruise roll call and try to put together a group of people who want to do Qsine? I will say that we very much enjoyed our dining experience there. DON Last two times DH & I traveled alone on ships with Qsine, and we loved it and went back 1-2 more times, we have our favorite dishes , as the other poster said, it is small plates served in unique and fun ways, we had really fun waiters which only added to our experience. Rare Lois R Posted May 30, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) The menu has about 20 categories...of course you don't have to order under every category (that would be more food that most people can eat:eek:;)) But I would suggest you look under every category and you can see what is offered. Then you can decide what items you would like to try. For 2 of you, I would think 6 choices would be more than enough. (Just my opinion). I have eaten there with a group as as well as with 1 or 2 other people. Either way, I have always enjoyed it. You have Asian, Greek, Mexican, American, Italian and all are presented in a creative albeit "kitchy" manner. It's clever, you have to give them that. Is it the finest food on the ship? No. There are some things better than others. Lava Crab, the filet, the tacos, the tombstone dessert, the surprise dessert among things I remember. Real random selection which is kinda fun. It's kind of an endurance test. The first time we went, we were with a group of 6 (from our Roll Call) and we all ordered a lot of stuff and ended up wasting a good bit (I hate that). We learned to order better the next time. We skipped the things like fish and chips and fries (which are fried and empty calories and fill you up) and went for more "real" food. Everything has a set portion. You can, however, in a small group, ask them to modify - for example, the spring rolls come in twos - two different flavors. We asked for just ONE. And we split it. We did a lot of splitting things. Filet mignon is small, just a PIECE of a filet. We split that. We split things and even asked for smaller portions that weren't on their "set" size. That way we got a taste of a lot more things. And another thing is to slow down! Just let it take awhile. It's fun. Ordering on an iPad is no longer a real big deal - everyone has a tablet or is familiar with that kind of thing. Honestly, it would be easier to have a regular menu. Your wait staff will walk you through it and they usually come prepared to do so. Last time we went (we've been three times and probably that's it for us) we did it ourselves and our waitress kind of didn't know what to do because we didn't need a walk-through or instructions. It's fun, but I *do* encourage you to get on your roll call and get a group together. Maybe even for the first night where you'll for sure get a good discount. Nice way to start a cruise. We've done it probably 5 times over the years and if you are OK with the concept, there is enough variation that you don't have to do the same thing on each visit. To my complete surprise, we actually enjoyed it very much. Our problem that time was that we had no idea of the quantity of food being ordered and by the last serving, we had reached our breaking point. Fortunately, neither of us exploded. People talk as though the portions are small, but they're not really tiny, so watch yourself. I'm sure you can adjust your order up or down as necessary, once you see how full you are.. Thanks Table for 2 is fine(it's how we do it) The menu(Ipad)features selections from around the "world". Being foodies & in the food industry, we had a blast! For anyone with "Applebee's" tastes, I'd recommend skipping Qsine all together. Just pick & choose items that you see & like on the Ipad. They come served as small apps(appetizers)You really can eat quite a bit of food when it's served this way. If you're a real foodie it will be fun. Your waiter will adjust size of portions. We love the greek dishes, indian food and filet the best. The sliders are also excellent. With all dishes both the food and presentation are great. Typically, but not always, dining discounts are offered when you book onboard for the first night. However, if you are fussy about dining times you might have to dine either early or late. if you don't mind wait until you board to book Enjoy the fun experience.
