Casino Offer Code

Why does someone get a casino offer? I play a little slots, but am not a "high roller." Are those who make large donations to the casino the ones who get cheaper or free cabins??

If not, how can I get an offer?

I sure don't know the answer to this. I never recieved an offer when I spent $$$ in the casino. Then I retired about 4 years ago and dropped my $ amount I spend way down and started receiving them. I have no idea how they determine who gets it but am sure it is not based on dollars spent in casino.

As someone else said, I would check with Princess before booking. Many posters have reported they had it and didn't know it for whatever reason.

We cruise a lot and frequent the casino but wouldn't say we are high rollers, even though we spend a lot of time in there. We went with another couple that were first timers on Princess and they gambled just a little. We both received the casino offer via email....so who knows how they dole them out.

I called Princess to inquire about the expiration date of the casino offer I received this past March. She never asked me my CC number. She said the current casino promotions expire on July 6. I asked if the offer is good on 2018 cruises and she said "I'm not sure". Then she read me something about Japan and 2016. None of it makes sense to me but I planned on booking before July 1 anyway. I will call back tomorrow and hopefully get a different agent. I can't believe you can only book 2016 cruises with it. May have to involve my TA and see what happens. Just thought I'd share.

I believe there are at least two and maybe three, types of offers.

1. For some reason (it appears random) I will get a casino cruise listings with some nice OBC and other benefits if I book one of the listed cruises. Some friends get offers that I don't and vice versa.

2. I was able to get the CASINO code on my CC number and my TA was able to tell me if I got a discount on certain cruises because of it. Sometimes the code helped; on others, the special of the day, week etc. was a better deal.

3. After being on most recent cruises, I have received a letter on the last day telling me that if I book another cruise withing 30 days and sail within a year I will receive XX number of dollars in Casino Credit. This became interesting this past year because I had earned $350 in Casino Credit if I sailed within the time frame BUT it had a restriction to North American cruises. Sadly, my next cruise was to be in Australia, NZ waters and they wanted nothing to do with that offer "But we'll take care of you on this cruise". NOt sure what that meant as I did not receive any casino credit, but did receive a few free drinks during that month long cruise. After that cruise, I was given another Casino Credit letter (for $1000 A) but that was only for Australian cruises booked withing 30 days. Fat chance of that happening especially since the cruise I was on was going to Orient for the upcoming season :-). CAme home with that letter and within a week found a short cruise here in the States; Booked it and took the Australian letter with me. Well the casino did not stop laughing for a couple of days. Came off that cruise with another letter for $450 US with same restrictions of having to book within 30 days etc. There was one line that said if you already have something booked let us know and we will see what we can do. I called Princess Casino folks and told them of the three cruises I have booked in November/December. I was told "Sorry, we can not do anything for you." Went back to the email address I have for the same folks, Global Casino ..., and wrote to them, I got a nice letter back telling me that they have now put the Casino Credit on my booking for November :-). Time will tell if it is really there.

When I travel with my girlfriend, she loves to play the slot machines. You know at the top of the machine, it tallys a total of "credits", I'm gonna say... sorry, I don't go much to the casino... just to check on her and how she is doing.

Anyway, by the time our 15 day Hawaii cruise was over, she had a total of over 20,000 points/credits... she was told she was the highest number on the ship!!

She was given a FREE 15 day cruise to be booked in the next 30 days and also $750.00 OBC for the casino when she goes on that next cruise!

By the way... I'm going with her!! :D:D:D

Great story! Congrats to her! Most I ever did in a cruise was 1000. Lol

Just to put things in perspective, Casino points (points earned while playing any of the slot/video poker machines) are based on the amount of money you put through the machine. I used to think it was 1 point for every $5 but now believe it may be closer to one point for every $4. IN either case, 20000 point would require putting $80-100K through the machine. Please remember I am talking about the money that goes through and not the amount lost. If I get on an extremely lucky run it is possible to play this much without losing much. I have had cruises where my point total was well over 10000 and actually was ahead:D. I own 15-20 slot machines and the payout ranges from 85-96%. I am not sure what it is on the ships but remember even if the machine is paying 95% you are losing 5% each time you play. And few folks stop after they have played that $100 and gotten back $95; nope they continue to play and the next round of $95 becomes $90. I am sure you seeing where I am going;) Win early-quit! Sounds good but I never do. For awhile, some ships were giving you more playing money for every $1000 you put through; I think it was $10 back (credit) for each 1000 points. I have also seen some ships that were giving drinks at these levels. I asked about these on the Crown while aboard in May and was told they were ship by ship and had gone away.?

When playing slots you get 1 point for every $3 played. There are cash back offers if you exceed specific thresholds for each cruise that depend on the length of the cruise. For our 4 day cruise, the minimum was 1000 points ( I got $175 and had only hit that threshold). For longer cruises it might start at 3000 or 4000 points. By the way, I sent an email to the Global Casino and will be able to claim that $175 for an already booked cruise to Alaska in August. For a while there you had to book a new cruise. The rules are always changing and you had better believe that I have a printout of the letter from the casino folks that I will use if I have any problems.

Good information, but your words on slot pays is a bit misleading.

One of our local casinos post the "Average Slot Pay" as 92.6% For easy math, let's say it is 92%.

This ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT mean that you can put $100 in a $1 slot machine where the wager is $1 and after 100 pulls (wagers) expect to have $92 remaining.

A 92% payout means that 92 times out of 100 (on average) the machine will pay SOMETHING. If your wager is $1 and it pays $0.25, that is a pay. You won twenty-five cents even though it cost you a dollar.

Furthermore, the casino I mentioned stated the average payout for the entire casino. Some machines have higher payouts whereas others have lower payouts and are money pits. It's up to the gambler to figure out which they feel is which.

The AMOUNT of the pay is random, based upon the highly regulated chip in the machine.

So I can recall a time when I introduced a friend to a new machine that I like. She put in $100, played a good 90 minutes, racked up 2,200 points in this casino where $1 gambled earned 1 point, and she cashed out with $225. That was a very lucky sitting. Other times $100 might buy 200 or 300 points on the machine before the money is gone. That's when the machine is paying just as often, but the amount of the pays were smaller. (In this case, the Sizzling 7's which pay the most, came up less often than other winning combinations.)

As for Princess Casinos, last time I checked, it was $5 of play on a traditional slot machine earned one point. As with most casinos poker and lotto slot machines require MORE play to earn a point.

The more points you earn, the better the offer you will find in a letter delivered to your stateroom the final afternoon of the cruise. That's why one poster here got a comp oceanview while someone else got a balcony. No offer letter means not enough play to qualify for one. BUT, depending on booking pace (if they're not filling up cabins as fast as they expected to) then you could receive an offer for a cruise deal since you've played in the casino. Shortly after the cruise is complete, the ship's casino transmits player information to the separate company (owned by Carnival Corp) that runs the casinos on all their brands. Players that spend enough are profiled and may be entitled to a special "casino rate."

The 20,000 points on the HI cruise is impressive, but the man on my 15 day Panama Canal cruise, by day 8 had over 40,000 points when I looked.

However, it doesn't always take a lot of points to win. On my February 2016 Emerald Princess cruise, on a quarter machine with a $0.75 bet, someone hit $5,000. It was the last morning and they had a total of 40 points!

It's been my experience that the casino rate is not combinable with sip & sail...

Not sure about Sip & Sail, but the casino rate does combine with the current Red, White & Blue promotion offering reduced deposits and gratuities included. I booked a cruise last week with it.

I booked a cruise and received a casino credit with a % discount And I am wondering if that same discount be used again if we book another cruise?

If it hasn't yet expired you sure can. We booked several cruises over the past year using the same code.

I've been able to get gratuities with the casino rate but not the sip and sail.

I did the same thing but actually came out ahead with a different promo that was offered later down the road. Be sure to check ... the price was a little higher (I mean very little) but got so much more in free perks.

  • 3 weeks later...

I have an offer that expires tomorrow. It is for 15-35% off (depending on room type), $300 in casino cash, and free gratuities. I was hoping someone who has booked and sailed one of these offers before can help me with a few questions.

1) Are these offers combinable with all OBCs (military, shareholder, FCD, loyalty)?

2) Has anyone booked one of these offers through a discount online TA? If so, were they able to easily get the TA discount and the % off from the offer?

3) How does the casino cash work? The offer states "Casino Cash will be issued as Free Play Credits or Free Play Chips where available." Most land casinos limit free play vouchers to bets that pay 1:1 odds only. I normally play table games like Let It Ride and Three Card Poker. Are Free Play Chips usable in these games?

Any information from first-hand experience is greatly appreciated.

1. I'm gonna say yes as I combined with my shareholders and military

2. Yes to both

3. Never so lucky to get casino cash only % off cruises.

Someone else will chime in will more info. :)

My casino offer expires tomorrow. I called last week to check pricing on 3 different cruises thru Princess and my TA. My regular TA was on a cruise and her assistant could not get the offer to work and suggested I book thru Princess. Princess couldn't get the offer on any of the 3 cruises I was checking. Last 2 casino offers I had no problem booking what I wanted. Princess rep thinks it's because of the sip and sail. This doesn't make sense to me. I was not asking to combine the 2 offers, just wanted to use my discount not the sip and sail promo. I'm gonna call back today and hopefully get a good rep to double check as this is a big savings and looks to me that prices have went up for 2018.

Mamaboss, sometimes casino rates are compacity controlled. Earlier in the year I had that happen. Casino rate was no longer available on cruise I wanted so had to pay more even though rate had not expired date wise.

mamaboss & JF - retired RRT,

Thanks for the quick responses. Now I'll just wait to hear from someone who has received casino cash to see how it works.

Thanks,

Rob (Sandy's DH)

They just hand you the cash and you do what you want with it.....
