What is your favorite concierge service ?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I have never sailed in a Grande Suite before. Later this month will be my first time! I am so excited for this cruise.

I keep reading posts about things the Concierge does. I would like to know what everyone's favorite service is. Or your favorite Suite perk? I just found out that they offer to print your boarding passes for you.

I'm still very capable of printing my own boarding passes, but I had no idea...

Thanks!!

Eating breakfast to order in The specialty restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the Windjammer. My children think it is awesome when the concierge walks us off the ship in ports, by-passing the lines. On the Freedom, he shooed people off the elevator and switched the sign to priority service. Talk about feeling like a rock star for a twelve year old!!

We always cruise in a full suite and have never received this type of preferential care. How did you accomplish it?

I don't usually need the concierge to do anything....we're not needy or expect much...just a few drinks in the lounge nightly is enough...we're quiet and keep to ourselves.

......I thought I had just read my double's writing...... just pour a glass of wine and we'll be fine.

We mostly sail in GS and While it's not a service we enjoy the following perks the most,

Breakfast in speciality restaurant. You can order off menu or get food in the windjammer and sit in there.

Reserved seating somewhere on pool deck. ( Location varies by ship).

Reserved area for suite guest on Labadee with enhanced BBQ.

Being escorted of the ship to a priority customs line. (This does not happen on every sailing)

We did GS last 4 cruises and it will be hard to not have these perks, breakfast in specialty is such a great way to start the day. Concirge range from really great ( last cruise on Brilliance ) to good my Liberty and Navigator cruises, perks also are different on the different ships , Navigator had a really great private area for reserved pool seating, Liberty outside sitting was a couple of decks above the pool and Brilliance had none. But they will help you with any small or large problem you encounter, walking us to front of tender lines and to disembark is also really nice, also like the dvd in the suite

My favorite perk is the special breakfast in Chops.

As far back as 2008 we have over the years sailed in full suites on Mariner, Freedom, Oasis and Allure.......a total of 8 cruises.

Initially on the last night of the cruise on the Mariner and Freedom the concierge came up to us in the lounge and said if we wanted to meet about 8:00 he would escort us thru security and get a head start. We took part as did about 15 other families.

As time went on

Usually two days before the cruise ends we got a letter in our suite with two disembarkation times to meet in the lounge to be escorted off the ship.

You have to sign up for the time you want and drop it off that day so they know how many to expect.

The Concierge has an elevator key and dedicates one of the elevators in the bank of elevators to take guest down to the level that you leave the ship.

Not all elevators are tied up....

It is the best.

Then you are lead to the front of the line to go thru to get your bags and on to the front of the line to customs.

Loved it from day one.

Great perk for us.

Safe travels.

Thank you for all the information. I was wondering about bringing food into Chops from the windjammer. Now I know! This board has been invaluable to me. Cuizer2 thanks for taking the time to scan the Suite Perks info! Only 22 days left. We booked this cruise 2 years ago. It has been a long time coming.

I'm enjoying reading this thread, we will be on the Oasis in May, first time on the ship and first time in a suite. So any helpful tips are great. We usually cruise Princess but have heard such good things about this ship we couldn't resist giving her a try.
