Charge for tender?

Recommended Posts

Friends who recently took a Mediterranean cruise on RCC told me they were charged a $22 tender fee for three of the ports. I have never heard of this before. Has anyone else had this experience?

Was one of the stops Venice?

It's been a long while since I did my Mediterranean cruise, but I'm fairly positive we did have to pay something in Venice. In fact, I specifically recall giving my mother's 2nd day pass to another passenger as she stayed on the ship.

I'm going to guess, for Venice, that you could get off the ship where it is docked, but we chose to take a boat to the Square. It's not necessarily a tender, but I could understand why someone would question the charge.

I have the same recollection. Sailed on Princess from Venice, with 1st overnight in port. There was a fee to go to St Marks, as opposed to the dock on the edge of town where it was berthed.

Had the same experience in Venice. But the OP said it was for 3 ports.
