yet another question...Hard Rock Cafe...

Recommended Posts

Liberty of the Seas August 27 to Sept 3. Any one know how far it is to the Hard Rock Cafe from either the port in Falmouth ,Jamaica the Hard Rock is in Montego Bay ( could we rent a jeep and go there or is that too far?)

Or in Grand Caymen the Hard Rock is in well it just says South Church Street Grand Cayman.

I'm not looking for preaching about going so far from home for fast food lol it's what we like I get a shirt and a glass( and the drink that use to be in it :halo:) hubby and daughter get the pins.

I have : Washington DC , Philadelphia Pa, Cozumel, Cancun, St. Maarten, New York, Atlantic City NJ , Orlando FL, and Nassau Bahamas.

I need a new one lol.

Thanks in advance!! We can't possibly be the only ones that go there:o

We always go there too wherever we go in the world, DH always gets a t shirt and I do depending on which ones they have!

We've never been to the Jamaica one and it's been a few years since Grand Cayman but I remember its in the main town not far from the tender drop off. Our next one will be Athens in Nov, a new one for us.

I looked on Apple maps and it says 0.3 mile walk from Dimaonds International which is by the pier to the Hard Rock Cayman Islands. It's south, the road that the port is on becomes South Church St.

The Montego Bay one looks a lot further away from port unfortunately, it's about 25 miles.

Thank yoy Matj2000 as always your answer was informative and extremely helpful you and Cb must be close relatives😫. Swoopy no maps isnot broken . However I thought maybe someone who has been there could give me a more informative answer than a map that doesn't know traffic or ship time😉. My husband swears we've been to the one in Grand Caymen however my display cabnet says otherwise😁. Thanks for the answers glad we're not the only ones who are so "30 years ago" according to the wisdom of mat...lol.

Hard Rock was in like 30 years ago......

Hey, we're old, we started going 30 years ago when we were young:cool:

These days we don't worry about what's 'in' we just do what we enjoy:)

I would use a cab and barter for a round trip price. It should take no more than 40 min. Depending on traffic. Driving on the road between Falmouth and mo bay can be nail biting, would not want to rent a car.

Cabs make this trip all the time

DH collects t-shirts as well and has a very impressive collection! The Hard Rock in Montego Bay opened right around Christmas which was 3 weeks after we were last there. Our driver took us by the site and it's right in the middle of downtown Montego Bay. We'll be in Falmouth again in October and will negotiate with a cab to take us there and back.

We haven't been to the Grand Cayman store for many years so I can't help with that.

I'm now sure how you feel about knock offs but DH has found several "fake" shirts in stores near the pier.

Although I have nothing to say addressing your question regarding Jamaica, we too enjoy visiting HRC, and have been to about 50 worldwide.

Good luck with your collection!

Thats my ambition! 50 Hard Rocks and 100 countries. I'm up to 33 and 97 so far. I'll get my 100 countries next year and I hope to tick off 3 more HRC too.

Since you want to be relevant... educating you will assist you...

Did you know? Hard Rock is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida.... (not so 30 yrs ago)

Did you know? There are over 190 locations located in close to 60 countries. (not so 30 years ago)

Did you know? There are are over 20 Hotels & close to a dozen casinos. (not so 30 years ago)

The point is... while you might think HR is 30 yrs dated, evidently many others don't. So instead of insulting the OP, either assist & answer the post or move on.

OP.... I can't remember exactly where HR is located... but go on w/ your bad self and enjoy. We've collected HR pins from over 80 locations the PAST 30 YEARS... they actually look pretty nice mounted and displayed at my bar in the man cave.

Actually the main road is a four line divided highway toward Mo Bay. Side roads are narrow, and they do drive on the left.

I have been on the road several times and they drive it like they are on a side road

My son is moving and this weekend I helped him pack up all of the Hard Rock and Planet Hollywood pilsners I have bought for him over the past 30+ years. It was fun to look at the locations and remember where I was when I bought them.
