kimala Posted August 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2017 Anyone recently off the Harmony who may have dined in the Windjammer often enough to know this... I recently looked at a compas for july 8th sailling of harmony and noticed something Ive not seen on earlier compass..the Windjammer had different themes if you will like for instance one day for lunch it said "steak" and that same day for dinner it said "mongolian" then another day it said "Seafood" and still another had "Mexican" listed. Just curious if Royal is trying something different?
Rare A&L_Ont Posted August 4, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2017 I haven't noticed it before. Trying to stop myself.... I thought the common theme was eating. :')
Punchy Posted August 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 4, 2017 I thought the common theme was finding a table.
rukkian Posted August 4, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2017 Haven't been on harmony, but on Jewel, they had the same themes listed. It only really changed a couple of dishes overall.
kimala Posted August 4, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted August 4, 2017 LOL..Not that it matters because God knows there is enough food on the ship that none of us are going to go hungry..but this just feeds my cruise obsession (punn intended)
Hey Tina Posted August 4, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 4, 2017 I think you're asking if any sailings after July 8th (July 15, July 22 and July 28) had themes also? Mine did on the 15th. I didn't eat there but I saw it in the compass.
setsail Posted August 4, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 4, 2017 As far as I know all the windjammers have themes for the food for years. Changes daily, but it's not always listed.
39august Posted August 4, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 4, 2017 We completely gave up trying to eat dinner in the WJ on HOTS. Could not find a table. Good luck.
Clarea Posted August 4, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 4, 2017 We completely gave up trying to eat dinner in the WJ on HOTS. Could not find a table. Good luck. While dinner in WJ on Oasis was more crowded than I expected, it was still much easier to find a table than at breakfast or lunch.
Thorben-Hendrik Posted August 4, 2017 #10 Share Posted August 4, 2017 I thought the common theme was finding a table. I thought it was " I am too busy chatting - I will clean up the tables later..."
DaniDanielle Posted August 4, 2017 #11 Share Posted August 4, 2017 The Anthem had a great Italian theme in January Sent from my iPad using Forums
Norwich Cruiser Posted August 4, 2017 #12 Share Posted August 4, 2017 We have never had a problem finding a table for dinner in the Windjammer on any class of RCI ship and always found it to be very good and relaxing. Most of them seem to have different theme menus each night that is advertised in the cruise compass or in the Windjammer itself.
dpcmh Posted August 5, 2017 #13 Share Posted August 5, 2017 We ate 3 dinners in the WJ, and each of those nights had a theme....most have been stated. The stir fry station was open all 3 nights and was a pleasant surprise. It was crowded!!!! As the cruise went on, it felt more crowded each time. By the last night, we had a hard time finding a table. I usually love dinners in the main dinning room....but was underwhelmed this time. I was surprised to find I preferred WJ for dinner.
