octoberdana Posted October 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2017 Hi we are boarding the Emerald Princess today heading to the Mexican Rivera. Staying in Aloha Deck very excited! I didn't have time to research much this time around so will just be going with the flow.

paul929207 Posted October 1, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 1, 2017 Cruise lines don't like to offer the deep, last minute discounts. So if it is just a few cabins, they will sail with them empty.
octoberdana Posted October 1, 2017 Author #10 Share Posted October 1, 2017 We got here really early and now the waiting area is full. So not sure there was any benefit to getting here... as everyone will be lining up at the same time.

Glad that you're having a smooth process arriving for your cruise...we've been happy with our homeport boarding process in LA. Crew will direct passengers to the buffet but one of the anytime dining rooms off the atrium has always been open between noon & 1:30. We prefer that relaxing beginning to our cruises than a platter of food from the buffet. ;) With your go with the flow attitude, you'll have a great cruise! :D We're eagerly anticipating boarding our next cruise in less than 3 weeks. On the Princess website, there are several coming up this month with prices starting at less than $55 a day per person.

I’ll be firing up the blog in another week or so. We’ve had a hard summer, but are thrilled (and very fortunate) to be looking forward to another adventure this winter. EastBay Cruisers Posted October 2, 2017 #25 Share Posted October 2, 2017 We stayed on Aloha Deck on board the Emerald and really enjoyed it ! She's a beautiful ship, and the crew is wonderful. If your cruise has Corey Moir as Cruise Director, along with his assistant Theo from Brazil, those two are lots of fun. Have a fabulous cruise, and keep us posted. - EBC
