New Steakhouse Menu (October 2017)

Recommended Posts

They have been very gracious a few times when we actually cancelled our plans the same day of the reservation. Both times it was towards the end of the cruise and we were at a point were we didnt feel like we could eat another bite LOL Now we do all specialty dining the first few days of the cruise. :-)

Thank you. I was hoping we didn't have to cancel before the cruise or be charged. Was thinking of trying it for the first time (hard to justify spending more than the cost of a good dinner on top of already paying for food) when we have a late port departure one night. Want to spend the time in port vs early dining.

Spend $75 - $95/pp and do the Chef's Table. An experience you need to try at least once.

Only do Chefs table if you like seafood, game ie duck etc. I tried it years ago and passed on most things waste of the 75 or so dollars for me. I do know many like it for sure! Ive also since heard i think you can request non seafood or the like...

Someone usually posts a menu of the current Chef's Table offerings, and that is fleet wide. If you can see what they are having, it would help you decide. We had the sea bass, pork and bone marrow. The last was interesting. Very dense, but surprisingly good.

Yep - with advance notice they'll substitute any dish(es) on the menu either due to allergies or personal likes/dislikes.

They will. We do not eat pork or shellfish so they did make a number of substitutions.

However do need to ask what stuff is. They served me some sort of fish soup and when I asked they said no shellfish in it. Asked further and turned out it was a lobster bisque without pieces of lobster so they decided it was ok..

Luckily lots of courses so no big deal but do need to ask questions.

I just made my reservation for the Steakhouse on the Breeze for an impromptu December sailing. While I usually have the filet mignon, I might have one of the new steak items like Wagyu this time. I doubt I will bring a slice of cheesecake from the coffee shop to replace that graveyard item. While I wish it was still on the menu, I can always get it from the coffee joint later, as someone suggested. I was never able to finish that huge slice anyway, and usually brought half of it back to my cabin for a midnight treat.

Great value, wonderful dining experience on board. Prefer this atmosphere rather than steakhouse selection (entrees) available in dining room. After 20 years of sailing Carnival, and becoming a lot older myself, I find the regular dining room too loud and too busy for my total dining enjoyment. We definitely prefer the steakhouse and the alternative dining options available on some Carnival ships and don't mind the moderate price lift to dine at them.

Try them if you haven't. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised.

I haven't been on a Carnival ship for 3 years due mostly to unrelated health problems. Back to sailing in January, and trying to catch up with any/all the changes from 3 years sabbatical.

The menu below reads really good though IMO! Wish they had it on all Carnival ships.

LOL. That's why I didn't comment on the desserts. I always got the cheese plate and took it back to the cabin to enjoy later. There were a couple of really nice cheeses included.

Do you happen to know what types of cheese are offered? We were there a few weeks ago and I should have asked our server to write them down. I know one is Roquefort (now love it!)

I will miss the cheesecake. The chimichurri sauce looks like a nice add. Overall a good menu update. I look forward to trying it.[/ Could not believe the cheese cake was not on the menu >>When ever we have ate at the steakhouse we have been too full for dessert so i would always order 2 cheese cakes to go and would give them to crew members at the bars on lido deck.. Tried it a couple weeks ago on the vista for one of the new desserts and was told they could not wrap it ,no more take out. I
