travelnap Posted November 18, 2017 #77 Share Posted November 18, 2017 Extra toots, but they didn't sound like Harmony, Maybe Indy of the Seas?
Happily@Sea Posted November 18, 2017 #78 Share Posted November 18, 2017 Extra toots, but they didn't sound like Harmony, Maybe Indy of the Seas? I thought I heard a departure toot while Harmony was still maneuvering and it wasn't a HAL horn.

Happily@Sea Posted November 18, 2017 #80 Share Posted November 18, 2017 Look at the differences in the two ships and that's not even the Goliath class.
Rare Vict0riann Posted November 18, 2017 #81 Share Posted November 18, 2017 Prinsendam looks so little, alongside Independence OTS.

Rare rafinmd Posted November 18, 2017 #83 Share Posted November 18, 2017 Indie looks awfully close to the Elegant Explorer. Careful! Roy
rkacruiser Posted November 18, 2017 #84 Share Posted November 18, 2017 Independence makes Prinsendam look like a yacht! YES! What a striking difference!!!!!
rkacruiser Posted November 18, 2017 #85 Share Posted November 18, 2017 But, I'd bet that in rough seas and high winds, Prinsendam's guests would be more comfortable and enjoy their cruise far better than those aboard Independence of the Seas. travelnap Posted November 18, 2017 #86 Share Posted November 18, 2017 Yes Prinsendam at 38,000 tons and Indy at 160,000 tons, quite a difference. But I'd rather sail on the Prinsendam.

Krazy Kruizers Posted November 18, 2017 #89 Share Posted November 18, 2017 I may get to see the Nieuw Amsterdam leave before I lift dinner from the oven at 5:30.
Rare Scrapnana Posted November 18, 2017 Author #90 Share Posted November 18, 2017 Yes Prinsendam at 38,000 tons and Indy at 160,000 tons, quite a difference. But I'd rather sail on the Prinsendam. I sailed on her sister Liberty. While better than not being on a ship, I prefer smaller.

Happily@Sea Posted November 18, 2017 #92 Share Posted November 18, 2017 I sailed on her sister Liberty. While better than not being on a ship, I prefer smaller. That's a nice way of saying that Liberty was just 'alright' but not your preferred size.

travelnap Posted November 18, 2017 #94 Share Posted November 18, 2017 I sailed on her sister Liberty. While better than not being on a ship, I prefer smaller. I did a TA on the Navigator a few years back, and that was as big as what I want to sail on. I prefer the mid size and smaller ships to the big ones. I don't want all the bells and whistles they have.
