Forgive me for posting on an old post. Is the folio number your room number? Is the room number printed on the card at all? It's been about 10 years since I was last on carnival and I don't remember. TIA

No. But yeah you’re going to have alot of people reading and responding to four year old posts before they realize an old thread was bumped.

No, the folio number is your record number with the ship. Your cabin number is not printed on your sail and sign card (for obvious reasons).

No, room number is not listed on your S&S card for security reasons. Contains name, muster station, and MDR table number for assigned dining. It's on you to remember your cabin number.

add: Sorry for being redundant, didn't see the responses on the next page.

Re: folio number / cabin number...

I recently was given a few RCL cards, and I notice that their cards

state your Deck number - but not the cabin number.

I imagine that might help most people returning 'home' .. somehow?

no it is not, your room number is not identified on your sail and sign card as a precaution in case you lose your card.

I just looked at my one RCL card and it actually has the cabin number, without the deck (if I had lost it someone would have had to go to each deck to find my cabin).

Has anyone noticed that the thin plastic wrapper that is shrink wrapped on the S&S card is coming off the card during the cruise. My wife and I had to replace or cards due the plastic film coming off. Maybe I slid it through the coin pusher in the casino to many times.

If the film comes off does it affect the card at all? Mine started to come off but stayed on until the cruise ended.

Mostly annoying. The film peeled back to mid way of the card. The film does contain the print, but it still worked.

We like to keep the cards. So, I like a good card.

Same here.

I have our every cruise card except two Ocean Village cards which
"for security reasons" they insisted they have back as we left..

Luckily I took a photo of it.

I do as well. I attach a piece of magnet to the back, get a small magnet of the ship I was on and put them both on my whiteboard.

no, your room number is not printed on your card.  Your folio number is unrelated to your room number.

On our Miracle B2B last month we had to get my companion's card replaced three times in nine days, and mine once.

You should not reopen 4 year old posts. Your folio number is not your room number and the room number does not appear on the card. Otherwise if your card was lost, anybody who picks it up could find and get into your room.

Back in the olden times, Holiday class and earlier, the card did not open the cabin door, there was a separate key card that did that.  So back then cabin number was on card.  Come to think of it, the early Fantasy class had the separate key also.  My first Carnival cruise in 1999 on Fantasy has the cabin number on it.  EM

the print is on the film so if it comes off, it’s just a blank card. I had some get so bad the film would have to unroll in the card reader on the door. If it causes problems getting on or off the ship they’ll tell you to get a new one. That happened to me on glory.

I keep mine as well. What I’ve been doing is getting it replaced at some point during the cruise. Then almost immediately putting that brand new card in my backpack and tell them I lost it. Then I have a good card for my collection.

It seems to be certain ships for me. Mardi Gras was good. Panorama was not. Vista was good. Glory was not. I’m pretty sure JH said they had some bad card batches that were sitting In a warehouse during covid.

Did they get the bad batch of cards at the same place that got that bad patch of paint for the ships?
