Great Stirrup Cay missed again?

 Why did the Escape and the Sky not even attempt to go to Great Stirrup Cay today? All the other private islands were able to anchor today; RCL, Disney and Princess all have ships there today? What is wrong with NCL.

Breakaway made it last week but not yesterday, sail into Nassau by the afternoon for overnight stay. Does not look like there's any tendering by NCL at the Cay today.

You can quickly check the ship's live webcam links. And, the Gem out of NYC will be doing its weekly attempt on Tuesday starting next week.

NCL is definetly missing GSC to much. Lets face facts, it costs NCL a lot of money every time a ship stops there. With almost everyone having the UBP there is little to no revenue to be made now. Sure they make some money on the rentals but nowhere near as much as they are losing if everyone stayed on the ship(casino, shops, etc). GSC is great for cruisers and more of a service that NCL provides. It is just very frustrating though when you see the RCL tenders bringing their customers to Coco Cay right next store and your ship is pulling up and anchor and heading to Nassua for an overnight. This has happened to us twice in the past five years, oh well.

What? They make tons of money on excursions, clamshells, cabanas... They have to pay extra to dock in Nassau a day early, folks can get off the ship and give other casinos money, other bars money. NCL gets lo if the revenue spent on GSC, none of the revenue spent in Nassau.

The main reason that NCL would choose not to stop at NCL is because the Captain feels it is unsafe to tender. Let’s be really honest here - the first people to complain about the Captain’s decision are the same who will sue NCL in the event of a serious injury due to a slip or a fall in rough seas.

LOL....'costs them money' to stop at GSC? When they miss it costs extra to dock at Nassau and they miss out on all the profits because the passengers are sent into the city. On top of that the miss the 100% excursion profit from their private island along with an extended closing of their casino and shops.

The alcohol is a wash in this overall scenario.
