susiesan Posted January 8, 2019 #26 Share Posted January 8, 2019 Star Pride cabin 135 had the double sinks and bathtub/shower combo. No problems in the bathroom.
Del Rio Posted January 9, 2019 #27 Share Posted January 9, 2019 On all three of the Star class yachts, suites 134, 136, 232, 234 are considered "modified accessible suites"; which have walk-in showers and single bowl sinks. I believe all the suites on the Star Legend have single bowl sinks.
minidonuts85 Posted January 23, 2019 #28 Share Posted January 23, 2019 Any staterooms to avoid on the Legend (noise, smells, etc.)? Thanks!
imcpa Posted February 20, 2019 #29 Share Posted February 20, 2019 Not that it would affect our decision as we are considering a Star Legend cruise, but can anyone confirm that the normal suite bathrooms on the Legend only have one sink?

I have a copy of the Star Legend deck plan, updated in November 2018 to reflect the removal of the casino. It has a notation related to a symbol on each cabin drawing that leads to a notation about only one sink. I have attached the pdf here. I have not verified this personally because the only Star class ship I have been on so far is the Pride. (But I can check for you in July, when we go to Alaska on the Legend. Sorry I don't get to check sooner!) Star Legend (Deck Plan 11-18).pdf
minidonuts85 Posted February 21, 2019 #31 Share Posted February 21, 2019 Del Rio, I would be interesting in knowing as well. We are sailing the Legend from San Diego to PV in October. Thanks!

imcpa Posted February 21, 2019 #33 Share Posted February 21, 2019 Thanks Del Rio. Based on that deck plan and a few pics I have seen, I expect they do only have 1 sink. Does anyone know what replaced the casino? Nothing is noted on the new deck plan.

Rare mexicobob Posted April 23, 2019 #36 Share Posted April 23, 2019 What is with the two sink thing???????????When I look for a cruise that is not the last thing I look for, it does not even begin to be considered being put on the list. Absolutely not criticizing, different strokes for different folks kinda thing...… Just curious. Have two sinks at the house in the bathroom and one has never been used. Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted April 23, 2019 #37 Share Posted April 23, 2019 This thread will become very confusing as the motor yachts are expanded, since Windstar is changing the cabin numbers completely. Perhaps a new thread should be started for reports on the ships as they are re-launched.

Redtravel Posted April 24, 2019 #39 Share Posted April 24, 2019 It doesn't matter to me if there are 2 sinks. I can only use one sink at a time. On Star Legend, we had one sink and lots of counter space. Worked well. If anything could use more space, it is the bathrooms on the Windsurf. They are rather small. Having sailed on the Sailing ships and the Motor Yachts, we prefer the motor yachts. Cabins are huge.
wripro Posted April 27, 2019 #40 Share Posted April 27, 2019 I much prefer one sink anymore counter space but there is ample room on the shelf below the sinks to store toiletries.
Redtravel Posted May 26, 2019 #41 Share Posted May 26, 2019 Just off Star Breeze in cabin 225. It has 2 sinks and a walk-in shower, no tub. We prefer no tub. The bed cannot be separated. It fits on a wooden bed frame that is stationary. The mattresses are separate. We really like the location on deck 5. It is very convenient to the lounge, guest and shore excursion desks, and is often the deck where you embark/disembark. I hope that when they expand the ships, there are more shower only cabins. Redtravel Posted June 18, 2019 #44 Share Posted June 18, 2019 That could be a mistake. I prefer a shower. I book only if a cabin with a walk-in shower is available. Some people like tubs. It would make more sense to have a mix.

I was told that the only difference between S1 and SS1 was the placement of the beds and I could not for the life of me figure out why there was a price difference. Now it makes sense. Decisions, decisions - we prefer the chairs to be by the window but would like a new room. Thanks again.

I was told by the onboard cruise consultant that in addition to the new bathroom mentioned above, the existing cabins would be “freshened” but not fully redone. We too like the chairs by the window and the price of the S1 made it a lot more palatable to pass on the brand new cabin.
