Andy C Posted July 3, 2018 #102 Share Posted July 3, 2018 We are traveling on Harmony with my mother in law who has a grand suite. (sky class) Does anyone know for sure if we could get priority disembarkation with her since we are all driving together? Also, what breakfast is available the last day? Are suite guests allowed room service?? Thank you for the help!! My wife and I were traveling in a GS on HOS and Checker and Jeremias were kind enough to let us bring them with us for disembarkation. They were staying in OV balconies. You should be able to walk off with the old lady.
Tracey Posted July 4, 2018 #103 Share Posted July 4, 2018 As a small caveat or correction to something posted earlier, we sailed Harmony in April and we were told that they (at least on HOS) no longer offer free beer/wine throughout the day in the suite lounge except during the happy hour. We asked a couple times during the week and asked different bartenders each time, they kept telling us we needed a package or pay. There was still unlimited bottled water, canned soda, and fountain drinks throughout the day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk is there coffee and tea as well?? Thanks
Tracey Posted July 4, 2018 #104 Share Posted July 4, 2018 Indulge in in-room dining during breakfast, lunch, and dinner – simply order from our dining room menus maybe that is the difference, ordering from dining room menu not the room service menu??? Nilbog Posted July 5, 2018 #106 Share Posted July 5, 2018 What, exactly, does complimentary luggage valet service get you?
Clarea Posted July 5, 2018 #107 Share Posted July 5, 2018 What, exactly, does complimentary luggage valet service get you? Luggage Valet is a service the cruise line provides that takes your bags directly from the ship and checks them in at the airport. You put your bags out on the last night of the cruise and the next time you see them is at baggage claim at your final destination. This service normally costs extra, but is free for guests in Grand Suites or better.
Nilbog Posted July 5, 2018 #108 Share Posted July 5, 2018 Ahh, ok, thanks Host Clarea. I've heard it called other things on other cruise lines. Will they take luggage to the train (in Seward) instead of the airport? We're using the cruise/train combo to get to Fairbanks to see our daughter there. This is our first Royal Caribbean cruise, and our first "real suite." We've had suites on the cruise line that sounds like a festival, but their suites are really just larger cabins, as there are no real perks to them, so I'm soaking up all the tips I can from the CC Boards. Risingtide61 Posted August 3, 2018 #111 Share Posted August 3, 2018 Am I the only one that has gotten a bottle of sparkling wine in the cabin every cruise? Always stayed in a GS.
later Posted August 3, 2018 #112 Share Posted August 3, 2018 Never gotten one and we always stay in suites. Are you D+ and do you have the sparkling wine set as a free gift? Do you go through a travel agent that may give you the wine? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
rkkunk Posted August 6, 2018 #113 Share Posted August 6, 2018 We are lowly Emeralds and any time we have stayed in a GS or higher, we have received a bottle of wine from the concierges and usually a plate of goodies. We usually book with RC direct or through a major wholesale retailer in most people’s cities. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
jgoodm Posted August 7, 2018 #114 Share Posted August 7, 2018 I was on Symphony in June in a crown loft and was charged the room service fee every time. When I complained they told me this was the policy on Symphony even though it was different on other ships. We only ordered three times so I didn't make much of a stink about it after but it does seem this charge is reported consistently on Symphony guests from reading the board. jgoodm Posted August 7, 2018 #115 Share Posted August 7, 2018 Do Star Class guests have the opportunity to keep their luggage in stateroom on the last night and get escorted with it when they disembark or do they also have to follow the standard procedure for luggage? Also, if it can be carried off at disembarkation, I assume this means luggage valet to the airport is not a possibility? Thanks.
queenfrostine22 Posted August 7, 2018 #116 Share Posted August 7, 2018 Star class guests can keep their luggage in the cabin til morning(so nice!) when it will be picked up by an attendant. usually it is kept in the hall and then follows you and the genie off the ship and out to customs. I have never used luggage valet, so i don't know how it works.

frank808 Posted August 7, 2018 #118 Share Posted August 7, 2018 Oasis was 1130 to 1100 and allure was 1100 to 1100 for suite lounge hours. I’m sailing on Oasis in August. Does anyone know if it continues to offer 11am-11pm complimentary beer wine soft drinks and Water? The changes are concerning me [emoji2] Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk

Are the perks you mentioned for gs and above on other class of ships? Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk From memory we have been invited to: - bridge tours, galley tours and theatre tours on Voyager (sailing out of Australia) - dinner at the Captain's table and galley tour on Brilliance (Baltic) - lunch with the officers featuring specialty restaurant food on Jewel (Alaska) - bridge tour, galley tour and theatre tour plus officers' reception on Anthem (Canada and New England). - plus a few more I may have some of these mixed up but I I think every time we have sailed in a suite (usually GS) we have had one or more of these. The invitations usually come from the concierge or the diamond club concierge either by printed invitation left in our room or phone message. They are not advertised as perks so cannot be 'expected' but are nice to receive. We didn't have a suite when we sailed on Oasis. Perhaps Oasis and Allure are so big and/or have so many D+ and above that these perks are not so available.
SRF Posted August 7, 2018 #121 Share Posted August 7, 2018 We were in a GS on Grandeur last year, and I asked the Concierge about a bridge tour. It was arranged, and all suite guests were invited. We got a plate of goodies every evening in our room. Several time, chocolate covered strawberries, one night a cake, and others cookies and once or twice savory snacks. rkkunk Posted August 8, 2018 #122 Share Posted August 8, 2018 We were invited to a bridge tour when were on Harmony in May. We were in a CLS. We have stayed in a GS twice before on the Allure and were never invited. But then we were never told about luggage valet those two times either. We have been invited to the helipad sail away every time in a suite. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
