Rick, if you get a chance tonight, can you snap a few photos of Playmakers, and the casino? Cruise Critic hasn't gone onboard yet to update your album, and the only other photo album we have is from the SouthFlorida CC member. Thanks brotha!!

Rick,

Great pics of the bungalows

Are the bamboo cabanas on the same beach as the bungalows?

And do you have access to the deluxe buffet serving up Steak n Shrimp

TIA

The cabanas are on the opposite of the island closer to the ship and tender landing. Bungalows have a limited food menu that can be delivered to you from 11:30am to 1:30pm.

I had a burger (windjammer burger) and shrimp ceviche. Nothing to write home about. So if food is important spend the extra cash and get a cabana.

I haven't kept up w/ the Mariner since she left Galveston. She was our first ship and a real enjoyable cruise. I remember a bartender, Pool Bar, named Suzy Q who was quite fun and very entertaining. She was from the Phillipines and had been with Royal for 15+ years. Is she still around?

Suzy Q is my girl. I have sailed many times with her. Most recently on the Anthem where she works the Music Hall. Not sure where she is currently.

Hey Rick,

I have spent all morning looking/calling/using search function- time to ask for assistance

When I called RCCL they insisted the only outdoor smoking area on Mariner of the Seas is the pool deck (windows that open ?)

I want to avoid (we are non-smokers) a balcony cabin on Mariner of the Seas close to the outdoor smoking area/hut.

I have read the outdoor smoking area is on Deck 5 starboard aft

Can you provide more detailed location information. Most worried about smoking hut on Deck 4 or 5 (whichever one it is) as we are in #6652. Thanks

Outdoor smoking areas are on one side of the outside of decks 4, 11, and 12. You can find out which side by asking on this live thread:

Do these cabanas come with a server for drinks like the cabanas on Labadee?

So I have been drinking all day...like all day. Right up until dinner. Last pre-dinner drink!

No buzz! No slurring! No loss of memory!!!

So I get to dinner at Jamie’s and our waiter hears me complaining how nothing is doing it for me today.

He arrives at the table with the “solution” to my problems.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce the “Passport to Hell!”
