And like the tradition of most cruisers who stay near 17th Street, we walked aimlessly around Publix. We did buy a few small items but nothing important.

 

We have returned to the hotel and it is relaxing time. Feet up, kicked back and wind down time. Feels great.

For our first Royal Caribbean cruise we were booked on the Empress of the Seas. Then 5 days before our cruise we were canceled. I called Crown and Anchor and got put on the Brilliance OTS in the very last room on the ship. Very nice...and oh, your ship leaves 2 days from now! We made it and have been hooked on Royal ever since! And our Brilliance cruise was free! Yup, we just paid for our things and grats onboard. We got all of our $ back from the Empress as well. Made RC shine in our eyes!

Bet I wake at 4 again. Our scheduled boarding is 2pm. I think we will arrive around 11am.

 

As for the flight, it was one of the smoothest especially considering the weather. Just the way I like it.

Depends on the situation and the job. We start at two and it goes up from there. After 5 years another week etc. We had a few employees that had 5 weeks plus a year but had been with us for 30 years plus. We don’t cash them out at the end of the year. It is use them or lose them. We also close between December 24 and January 2nd.

 

My job gives me great flexibility with a lot of responsibilities. Basically I am on call 24/7. My phone and email will be with me all week. It has been called an electronic leash. I guess you could call it a work hard, play hard situation, but that’s enough about work.

 

Other places might remain two weeks forever. Some might be by hours worked. All depends on the type of job, retention etc.

I checked the maps you posted from your flight. It was not raining at our house when you flew by. It waited until we took the steaks off the grill, for once!

 

We have spent several weeks in Ft Lauderdale and always have had Gilberts on the list of places we wanted to go for dinner, but never made it there. Definitely going there next time!
