Thank you, Jeerilyn and Jerry Goldchain The ship will probably arrive between 11:30 and Noon, and boarding will begin maybe 3:00 PM or so? Just my estimate, nothing official.... Looks like a lot of waiting tomorrow. No way are they going to turn it around in less than, oh I dunno, 6 hours or so? Patience is the word for tomorrow. Let's see, 0430 in UTC time is five hours ahead of EST. That doesn't make any sense. That would have them being there at 11:30 last night. Or do I have something wrong there? Doesn't matter now, since you know where it's at.

I am time zone challenged but I was thinking it would be 9:30 am checked with DH you are correct 😉
Rare ORV Posted January 11, 2019 #81 Share Posted January 11, 2019 I believe UTC is ahead of EST. Am I going the wrong way? I frequently have trouble when it's time for DST change.
Tranquility Base Posted January 11, 2019 #82 Share Posted January 11, 2019 On marinetraffic, reported ETA is normally shown as LT, ie: local time. There is a UTC figure in brackets next to the LT, but this is the destination port's time zone. Doesn't matter now, as the good news is Insignia is docked. But just for future reference when checking worldwide progress. Bob, thanks for all the updates....appreciated.

Mura Posted January 11, 2019 #94 Share Posted January 11, 2019 I was contemplating walking out to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade to watch you guys sail away but not knowing when you're really supposed to leave -- and maybe you already have -- I guess I'll wait until Marina leaves port on April 5th ... we were supposed to be on board ... oh well! Have a great time everyone! Mura
Go-Bucks! Posted January 11, 2019 Author #95 Share Posted January 11, 2019 (edited) Thanks to everyone for the updates. Everything went well today in surgery and the doc says there are no more stones and I'm good to go for the cruise! Glad you finally got onboard, but it's too dark to see the sailaway on the webcam.... But we'll keep up from your posts. Have a great first night!! Bob, your accessible cabin looks pretty good size.
