There are hundreds of workers in the kitchen who are from foreign countries doing prep and cooking duties.  Can we all agree to that?

The use of the term "immigrant" was clearly meant in the negative sense.  After all, virtually all the people working on a ship are from some other country so they are all from somewhere.  Why did the OP specifically pick on the kitchen staff as if they were somehow inferior to the immigrant cabin attendants, immigrant waitstaff, immigrant officers, etc.

The use of the term "immigrant" was incorrect and could be interpreted as a derogatory in the first place as all of the workers are from - as you indicate - other countries.  In that respect, however, they are just citizens of other countries who are working together in a common work environment outside of their country of residence.

But they are not immigrants. An immigrant is a person "seeking a destination country of which they are not natives or where they do not possess citizenship in order to settle or reside there, especially as permanent residents or naturalized citizens, or to take up employment as a migrant worker or temporarily as a foreign worker".

Along with everything else, the OP is just demonstrating their ignorance.....

Maybe one of the mods can just consolidate all 4(or more as I've only seen 4 at this point ) of the OP's threads on this cruise into one.   That way we can all just avoid 1 thread instead of multiple ones. 🙄

Hey, let's not forget the immigrant passengers.  :classic_ohmy:

In fact, on a cruise ship, who exactly gets to say they are not from another country?  :classic_wink:

You are from a foreign country the minute you get 12 miles beyond the good old USA mainland. There are hundreds and hundreds of people just like you roaming the ship, driftless foreigners...
