Rare LincolnLegend Posted February 17, 2019 #306 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Having enjoyed this review as always, I figure that it must nearly be time for the post-cruise additions so I'm bumping it up to the top so it can be easily found!

tanyaewa Posted February 17, 2019 #308 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Thanks for the review! Glad you are enjoying yourself so far. Also glad you can be more present in your amazing vacation without doing it “live” for us. Looking forward to the “rest of the story......”
Rare sid_9169 Posted February 17, 2019 Author #309 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Good morning from soggy New Orleans... As usual, I got hardly any sleep last night. It happens every single cruise. I had been sleeping soooo well the entire week, then there was nothing... I suppose that on the final night, the stress and worries from back home start to creep into my mind. I have a late flight, so I'm in no hurry to debark. By the time I got out of bed at 6:30, there were already people lining up for self carry off... I'm going to have my final breakfast on board before a long travel day. I will continue once I get to the airport. Thank you all again for your patience... Get out of here, people, we mean it!...
Suna Posted February 17, 2019 #310 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Sad that your cruise is over, but looking forward to reading more about it 😉

Rare sid_9169 Posted February 17, 2019 Author #316 Share Posted February 17, 2019 I have no idea how they get MSY from Louis Armstrong International airport... Just a musing...
Rare sid_9169 Posted February 17, 2019 Author #317 Share Posted February 17, 2019 No way in heck am I about to sit on one of these filthy seats... I guess I'm just going to stand here until my gate is assigned.
Rare sid_9169 Posted February 17, 2019 Author #318 Share Posted February 17, 2019 I guess the most logical place to continue would be in Cozumel, where we left off... I had just peed on a topless ladies foot, while her topless friend stood next to me. I headed back towards San Miguel, and had a double lobster sandwich at Lobster Shack. From there, I walked over to another one of my favorite drinking holes in Cozumel (as if I really needed another drink at this point) Dick's Dive, near the square, and across from Wet Wendy's... I ordered one of their giant (and strong) margaritas with Don Julio anejo and Controy... Just what I needed to top off a great and adventuresome afternoon on my favorite island. Rare sid_9169 Posted February 17, 2019 Author #319 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Then I stopped by the local liquor store and bought myself a bottle of Controy (sold only in Mexico, but a rebranded duplicate has recently become available in the US.) This was also one of the main reasons I checked a bag... So I could bring this home...
Rare sid_9169 Posted February 17, 2019 Author #320 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Soon, I found myself walking (stumbling really, at this point) back to the ship.
Rare sid_9169 Posted February 17, 2019 Author #321 Share Posted February 17, 2019 I found myself back on board, and immediately headed to Vibe, for what else, but more heavy drinking. It's a good thing I wore two patches today... 1
Rare sid_9169 Posted February 17, 2019 Author #322 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Next thing I knew, were having a pull-up competition from the rail above the Vibe bar. Because, that's what guys do when they're really good and drunk. I somehow next ended up at the Savor mdr, sitting next to a dentist and his mail order bride from Ukraine... The only photo I have from dinner was the ribs, and I have no idea how I got there or what happened afterwards. I did, however remember to photograph my towel animal, which meant I made it back to my cabin somehow.
Rare sid_9169 Posted February 17, 2019 Author #323 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Since many of the pictures are on my other, WiFi only phone, I'm just going to continue now with what I have on the Pixel II XL... I described my Haven tour in an earlier chapter, but here are the photos I took. Nenad, the assistant hotel director, approved the tour, and I met him and Florence from group services at the GS desk at 11:00 am, before heading out to harvest caye.
Rare sid_9169 Posted February 17, 2019 Author #324 Share Posted February 17, 2019 After the indoor portion, we visited the court yard and outer deck.
Rare sid_9169 Posted February 17, 2019 Author #325 Share Posted February 17, 2019 As we were concluding the tour, I asked if it would be possible to order a drink from the bar, as this would likely be my only access for the duration of the cruise (or, possibly forever) She obliged, and I sidled up to the bar and asked if he knew the drink smoke and fire. Unfortunately, he didn't, so I asked for a spicy margarita if possible. He ended up making a damn fine margarita, but I was so hoping for the smoke and fire... While I was having my drink, he was busy in the background concocting something a bit more unique. The result was a great and memorable drink he called a roaring sunderband. Sorry if the spelling isn't correct, it's the best I could come up with... And, the now famous roaring sunderband (or something like that) Both drinks were great, and I can't even imagine how I was even drinking at all after the day prior in Cozumel... Soon enough, it was time to say goodbye to the Haven. This would be my one and only visit this sailing...
