I get the HAL ads on the side all the time but the ad in the player was a first.

HAL ads on the sides frequently appear as well as ads upon opening the player once in awhile.  I actually like the ads on the player.  Colorful and interesting; I think well done.

No, she was there when Westie had drydock in Italy - 2 seasons ago, seems like she was there last year too.

 

ETA: by joekerstef's post - that was 4 seasons ago she took Westie's place in Alaska.

No. My mother's first HAL cruise was Oosterdam to Alaska in 2015.

I don't think so.  I sailed a west coast Oostie cruise in 2017 that I'm pretty sure was part of a repo away from Alaska.
