We are boarding Zuiderdam today and I am so bleeping excited!  This is my 30th cruise, and boarding day euphoria never diminishes!

Cheers!

Just a question, we were on the irrugural(sp) sailing of the Zuiderdam and it was our first Holland cruise after Carnival bought it.  There was a plastic like bright red sofa in the shape of a giant pair of lips...and everyone kept looking at it saying "yah, Carnival said nothing had changed "  is that sofa still there???

And so the changes begin...

Celebrity Edge         1545

Harmony OTS          1630

Carnival Conquest  1635

Nieuw Statendam   1700

Zuiderdam                1700

Adventure OTS        1730

Question for anyone watching yesterday. We tuned in for a few minutes just as the Coral Princess was leaving and it had quite the scrape going down the port side of the ship. The camera operator even zoomed in on it. Any ideas what the cause was?

What's that big orange handle looking thing on the Edge....???

It is a separate Bar/Lounge that slides up and down the side of the ship when they are in port.  It is a glassed in enclosure of sorts.

I think it is called The Magic Carpet.  Not sure that it is glassed enclosed, however.  It can be used for disembarking the ship onto the ship's tenders from what I have read.
