@nikkiw60 I’ve just realised that your daily sheet is YC specific when I was looking up dining times! If you get downstairs could you take a pic of the dining times please!

Thanks x

Yes of course I will have a look for you.

That's from our Poesia cruise last September in the cigar lounge. A couple of women had purchased it and I asked if they'd mind if I took a photo of the set-up.

I'm considering asking the head butler if he can set-up something similar for us and Mark & Jane (Cruisers6) with the top shelf whiskies as we'll all have the Premium+ package on our Oct 18th Meraviglia cruise.

Hi Beamafar.........we are not in YC on the Oct 28th Meraviglia cruise but it sure would be nice if we could attend a whiskey tasting during that cruise.  Do you know if it is offered to all guests on the ship?  We also have upgraded to the premium+ drink package.  I'm sure the head butler will be able to honor your request for the whiskey set up for your October 18th cruise!  Fun 🙂

I know that, on Poesia, you had to pay for the whisky/whiskey tasting, regardless of whether you had a drinks package, so I'd imagine you'd have to pay for the "set-up" if outside of YC.  I'll be chancing my arm with the head butler lol.  Otherwise, I'll just get the barman to set up a glass of each of the whiskies, anyway, and give them all a try!   😜  You could just as easily do the same in one of the bars - especially if you choose a quiet one at the time.

Our DS1 bought a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue (custom engraved bottle) for DS2 for his 21st Birthday

Dh and our boys all enjoy a nice single malt... though they all like the Blue label.. said t was "very nice"

Last nights gala dinner, we also had an amuse bouche!

We both ordered our steak rare and it was! Everyone who ordered steak we noticed was asked to cut it to check how it was cooked.

Now the whiskey tasting! It wasn’t top shelf or malt  but it was a lovely gesture! And we were both bemused by the measures!

Thoughts re the restaurant and TSL, the space should be reversered!the TSL has been practically empty most of the time we have gone in and the restaurant we have had to wait for a table every night even after 8.30 this however may be a Europe thing as we do tend to eat later.

We have just pulled into Cagliari and this is the first morning I have been able to sit on the balcony for my coffee! There is a strange big yellow thing in the sky, also we are docked just under the flight path...

BTW erm Matt is still sleeping...and I don’t think we will be doing a lot today after his whiskey...

Re the upgrade, another thought is that last year when we were booked to sail on the infamous Vegan cruise, we were contacted by MSC asking if we would be willing to cancel and book for another time.

Which as you all know we did even though it was at the last minute and this could be on our passenger records?

Also we had an issue with a tour being rubbish which we mentioned at the desk and as a gesture they sent wine and canapés to our cabin. After we went to thank them for the gesture and they made a note of who we were etc?

i am just thinking of reasons.

Morning

We found TSL was busy on both Preziosa & Splendida for pre dinner drinks, so probably from 5.30 to 7 .

Then after dinner people went to the show/casino and came back for a nightcap or like us if we didn't do either would go back to TSL and have a couple of drinks / chat with others .
