Scorpio41 Posted May 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2019 Last year when Sapphire Princess sailed from Southampton there were kettles in the cabin. Are there kettles in the cabin for this years sailings?
berlingo Posted May 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2019 Hi Yes I believe so. Someone is doing a review of their cruise on Sapphire last month on You Tube and they pointed out the tea and coffee facilities in their inside cabin. Juliax

Micahs Grandad Posted May 27, 2019 #6 Share Posted May 27, 2019 We will be on the ship in just over 30 days and first ship that will have a kettle. Wonder if we will use it.

I would love to see it available in cabins on other ships; even on an as requested basis.

Rare Coral Posted May 27, 2019 #12 Share Posted May 27, 2019 Last year, they put them on the Sapphire sometime after I got off. I got off on July 7th.
satxdiver Posted May 28, 2019 #13 Share Posted May 28, 2019 We are boarding the ship on Saturday and will look for the kettle. However we do not drink coffee or hot tea so it will set there and collect dust. I understand the desire for a kettle by the hot tea drinkers. I have yet to see it on any previous Princess sailings. Scorpio41 Posted May 28, 2019 Author #14 Share Posted May 28, 2019 Thank you everyone. I take my own coffee, as I like a nice strong black coffee in the mornings. 😄
hooked cruiser Posted May 28, 2019 #15 Share Posted May 28, 2019 Last year they were placed in the cabins in July. This year we joined her on the first cruise from Southampton and all kettles were placed in the cabins before dinner the 2nd day.

We had an electric kettle in our cabin on the Celebrity Eclipse when we sailed out of Southampton to the Med. Perhaps the cruise lines assume that a majority of folks who board in Southampton for a European cruise are British and tea drinkers (I assume that's a generalization re what Brits want to drink). P&O UK, a British cruise line and part of the Carnival Corp have kettles in all rooms on all their ships no matter where in the world they're sailing. So, I say yes, it's what Brits want.
