Recommended Posts

I recieved an email today telling us our iteniary has changed for our Dec cruise because of issues with Allure of the seas. We now have our schedule rearranged and will only be in Nassau until 4pm instead of 9pm.

I saw that however the mention of Allure is confusing.

Allure is having propulsion issues and is changing itineraries to accommodate those issues.  That is having a domino effect on other ships.

Got the e mail today about our Oasis cruise.  30 itineraries were affected in total.

Wow, this has got to be costing them some bucks.  That Freeport accident is turning out to be very expensive.

We are scheduled for December 22 sailing on Allure of the Seas and just saw yesterday they changed us from St Thomas to San Juan.  I am sorry it is causing so many changes to other ships.  That is not fair to you and I am now considering not booking future cruises with Royal Caribbean.  When I book a cruise I chose the ship according to the itinerary.  The one on Allure is a Christmas and birthday present for my son, DIL and grands and I know we will have a great time on that ship but was also looking forward to them seeing St Thomas, one of my favorites.  And with the unrest in San Juan we may not even get off the ship.  What other cruise lines does everyone like?  We have done Carnival, no thanks, we have done Holland of America, my husband gets bored on that one.  Any suggestions will be welcomed. I'm done with Royal Caribbean after December. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

On May 5 our Adventure 12 day was delayed from 5 to 9 PM shove off because of the Allure being in port.  We had to wait until Allure, which left at 9:20 PM, and a Carnival ship was next in line pulled out.If .  We didn't get out of the dock until 9:50 PM.  Two days at sea meant we were only one hour late at our first port, Aruba.  Sounds like Allure will be changing other itineraries for many months.

News Flash!!! The PR gov is resigning, no excuse to not get off the ship. Perhaps you need to take some noncruise vacas, they all change itineraries.  Read some of the threads on the NCL board.

Still some protesting. They now want New Gov resign also. But over the yrs I've had dozen's Ports changed from Weather, Hurricanes, Medical Emergencies, Earthquake, Volcano's, Ship issues, Protests and even Civil War
