What special perks do you get for 25 cruises?

I took my 25th in Jan 2018 and did the Panama Canal. You want to do an expensive cruise because you will get 25% the cost of the cruise in OBC. I will only assume it is still that way. I haven't been on Carnival since then.  It was also my hubbies 25th  so we had a ton of OBC. We didn't spend it all but were able to cash some out in the casino. I ended up bringing $600 home with me. You will also get a white card for that sailing. I don't think it did anything.

Also, it does not need to be the 25th, you can do it on your 30th if desired.

On our 25th we both were able to get the 25% off of each of our cruise fare added to the OBC.

I just called because we will be doing our 50th soon and was told totally different in contrast to their Milestone information which is.

  • Milestone Reward must be redeemed at least 30 days prior to sail date and will be applied to the booking on the week prior to sailing.
  • Only one Milestone Reward is redeemable per guest, per booking; more than one guest per booking may redeem a Milestone Reward
  •
  • I was just told I need to do the Milestone AFTER our 50 cruise is completed. So it will be the 51st. That is not what it says. She also told me we can only do one at a time. Mine of the 51st cruise and my wife on the 52nd cruise. I think that is totally incorrect. From what I read it is like the 25th that we did.

As others have stated, the only perks you get is a white card on your 25th cruise and 25% OBC based on your cruise fare. You don’t have to use the OBC on your 25th cruise. We used my wife’s OBC on her 27th cruise, which was an 8 day cruise on Horizon. We used my OBC on my 29th cruise, which was a 7 day cruise on Breeze.

I thought they counted sailing days, not the number of cruises. I read the link, never heard of milestone cruises.

Not really an issue until you hit 25 cruises with Carnival. They will notify you if/ when you hit your 25th cruise, 50th cruise, etc.

I have 21 cruises down, 1 in September and 1 in January 2020, getting close to number 25. I know you get perks for 25th cruise, can anyone tell me what all to expect?

Thanks in advance

On our 25th. Raise you get a white S&S card that says milestone. Then you have up to two years to use the 25% OBC. We used it on our 29th cruise that we just returned from because Alaskan cruises are typically more expensive. Both my husband and I received.

We're using my husband's Milestone cruise OBC on a cruise to the Med next summer, since it's a longer and more expensive one.  He took his 25th last summer, but we were waiting to apply it when he could get more OBC for it.  When I called the Milestone number, the gentleman asked if I also had Milestone credit to apply (and if so, did I want to use it).  I told him that I had already blown mine on another cruise, since I reached Milestone before my husband. So, apparently they WILL let both parties use it, if both have earned it.

Someone gave you some bad info. My wife and I will both be sailing on our 50th. cruise next month on the Legend 16 day Vancouver to Hawaii to LA trip. We went ahead and splurged with a Vista suite since we'll both be receiving 50% of the cruise fare in OBC. 😃 Try calling the Milestone desk @ 1-877-225-8477. Good luck and congrats on the 50!!

I just realized that my upcoming cruise on the Breeze next month will be my 25th cruise.  I didn't see anything on my documents signifying it was a milestone cruise for me - should I have?

No, your cruise documents won’t display anything, but you should get a white card when you are on the ship.

Milestone cruises occur on your 25th, 50th, 75th and 100th cruise with Carnival.  You get the corresponding percentage of your base fare in OBC.  Unless you're a retiree living in FLA with deep pockets, any of these levels are tough to attain.

Just one pretty significant correction to your post. While you are right about getting OBC for your 25th, 50th and 75th cruise, you get a free cruise up to 8 days for your 100th cruise. That is definitely a better perk than getting 100% of your cruise fare in OBC. Like you mentioned, only a small percentage of cruisers will reach this level.

Thank you for the info.  One more question - in reference to the 25% OBC, do I need to ask for it to be given on this cruise, or will it automatically be given?  I've seen where some are saying that they chose to take it on a later cruise, so just wondering.

You are supposed to request it 30 days prior to the applicable cruise. However, when we were on Horizon earlier this year, a guy we met was on his 25th cruise. He didn’t know about the OBC until we told him about it. He went to guest services to request it for the current cruise. It took a couple of days but he did get the OBC on that cruise.

PhillyFan you are the best at giving great information quickly and without making people feel stupid for asking a question.  Seriously, I appreciate you taking your time to help people out.  I have the # for the Milestone Desk, so I'll call them today.

I have 2 more cruises booked after this one, but they are little 4 day cruises (girl trips).  This cruise is in a balcony on the 7 day Breeze to Bermuda - so 25% would be much better for me on this one.

Again - thanks!

I'm getting close to my 50th Carnival cruise, but I'm in no rush to get there.  The rewards aren't that great to continue booking Carnival exclusively.

It's more important to me at this stage of my cruising career to continue to experience different itineraries than offered by Carnival as well as new ships and cultures on different lines.
