Things going from bad to worse. The wind blew the  cheese off my Celebrity Burger along with a couple of fries. At this rate I’ll be up to a free Reflection Suite by the end of the week.

... or lose a few #'s along the way... LOL

bon appetit and bon voyage buddy...

Wonderful surprise in Blu, last night. On a previous cruise a vegetarian couple seated next to us were sharing a very nice vegetable curry, a dish of which we asked for and shared as an accompaniment to our entrees. I asked our waiter last night is such a dish might be a available. He asked if I was vegetarian and I explained the purpose of the request. He returned to report that the dish was not available on this evening. Shortly after delivering our entrees however, he returned to the table with a plate if pakoras, papadums and pickles, a bowl of lamb curry and another of curried eggplant for our party of six to share. All three dishes were delicious!

The gentleman’s name is Param and he’s from India. An absolutely wonderful waiter who remembered everyone’s name from the previous evening and has a remarkable talent for catering to all the small details. It’s people like this that make a cruise special. I’ll certainly by filling out a comment card for him.

(Sorry, we dove into the dishes before I remembered to take the pictures.)

The cameras are usually for sale at the Photo Gallery counter on deck 5. Thanks! We're looking at upgrading our camera to a higher end Cannon. I know Cannon sells much better ones than offered on the ship, but for our purposes the DSLR's they offer fit the bill and we don't need to reach for our credit card.😜

This is the only thing they had resemling a DSLR:

b - they will.

Submit a Special Request Form in advance and let them know upon boarding.

Most likely this is not necessary because something vegetarian is usually always on the menu.

Aware of the vegetarian on the menu, but want to see especially being blu if they might do some special Indian etc type vegetarian special dishes.  The vegetarian on the menu is many times boring, to many pastas etc.  There will be enough overall, my cruising partner will not go hungry I know but she loves Indian.

thanks

Okay, if that is the case then upon boarding go to Blu and let them know she would prefer Indian fare and if you would like it every night or which nights specific... still will be no problem, I Am sure.

I agree with Bo. They’re very  accommodating. Param asked us the next night if we wanted anything “extra” with our meal but I gratefully declined as I’m running woefully short of notches in my belt.

w - I think they have belts on-board to purchase so no issues with that!

yummi! is this roomservice  pizza? thanks for the review btw!!!

No, this is the Oceanview Cafe (the buffet). They make it fresh right in front of you - always 3 or 4 selections from which to choose. So far I’ve had Chicken Pesto, Spinach and Mushroom, Meat Lover’s, Margherita, BBQ chicken and Pepperoni.

I figured as much, on a past cruise I had commented to the Matre de that i loved coconut, well for 6 days straight we had special coconut deserts made for our table, until we called uncle and had enough....one of the things I enjoy with Celebrity they do go out of there way many times.

Do they have the ability to do gluten-free crusts?

Reminds me of our recent Edge sailing, I asked for pancakes (only for one breakfast) and come to find out that the Assistant Manager looked for me each morning and brought me pancakes!

Finally the white flag went up after three (3) mornings... LOL

We did the special Indian feast dinner in Sushi on 5, it was excellent (although I'm not the best judge of Indian food). this was on Reflection in early December - check it out.

I am learning from this thread.  Love curry/indian food and mostly vegetarian (slip every now and again with chicken - please don't judge -  lol)  Can I request indian fare at times?  and do I need to be specific with what my request is?

Only as specific as you want to be and try to give 24 hours notice so they can do a great job in preparation even though at times they can do upon immediate request.

If you want it vegetarian or vegan or if there is a specific meal you want... just let them know.

Then be prepared to be wowed!

Although we’ve only been to India once for a week to Goa, we spent 3 years in Riyadh, KSA,  where there was a very large Indian expat community and many (although modest) very good Indian restaurants. Consequently, we’re pretty picky about Indian food and are generally quite happy with what we find on these Celebrity ships.
