I do not know for sure how this is calculated or how it works. But I was on the Anthem some years back and met a young passenger who was on her free casino cruise. She told us she brings $2500 every cruise, plays it on the slots and gets a free cruise for next time. I would have died if I had not asked her what she does for a living (in very polite way) and she said she does nothing.....she got a big inheritance. I am happy that people are able to do that. No comments from me on that, its her life. We enjoyed talking to her and learnt somethings.

I have a neighbor who is a public school administrator. He brings $5000 with him on every cruise and has been on a few casino cruises.I never asked him if he wins or loses.

Also, any thoughts on Adventure? We booked one of the corner aft cabins on deck 7 that have the extra-large balcony. Had that on Liberty in 2019 and LOVED it.

I will be on Adventure for the first time in September, 2022.  We are doing the New England/Canada cruise.

Last winery tour day on Wednesday, another favorite.   Hostess set us up for light picnic lunch and a bottle of wine on the deck (fortunately nice sunny day) and lit the little gas fire next to us.  Perfectly relaxing wonderful time.  Spent two hours there!!

Looks like another great trip, Pat!  🍷

Our son got married on a tour boat that went up and down the Hudson.  It was so different and scenic.  They sailed right near the Statue of Liberty, even us jaded New Yorkers were in awe!  Congratulations to your sister.

That is wonderful .When I got married everyone had weddings in wedding halls.Nobody had destination weddings or weddings like your son.Did the ship that he got married on leave from Chelsea Piers ? On a Sunday in 2006 I was on a HS reunion that left from there and people were there to board for a wedding.

Totally agree. Everyone has a "right to their own opinions, likes and dislikes, beliefs, etc".

I was not interpreting, but since you quoted my reply to someone else, I will say that I was POSTING A REPLY TO LENNY, the elderly 90 something poster who I respect very much.

Some hugs for you too! Now let's follow your advice in moving on.

I thought he was 70 something?🤔

I've done several cruises on Adventure, out of both SanJuan and Ft. Lauderdale. I really like the ship but the wifi sucks. Entertainment is typical cruise ship but no where up to Oasis class caliber. There is plenty to do, or not, according to your preferences.

I will have to see if this works.  I saved a video as a gif, of granddaughter twirling her baton in the parade last night.

I know if I were to try this, there may have been some injuries involved.  Looks like she picked up some of my DW skills.   She use to do this with fire batons.😳

I like that you were.able to save as a gif.  I am going to try this out.  I have made pics out of multi pics but not a video.  She looks cute.

@dani negreanu I love Pea Soup.  Just today, I was thinking of making it one day this week.  Yum!!!!!  I usually use a ham hock, or just ham in the soup.  If I don't have either, I'll use sausage.

I had one serving at lunch, and now, evening, I couldn't resist another big serving...

DH added Kabanos sticks, tremendously enhanced the taste 😁

My parents used to live there (Skidaway Island).  Really nice place.  Try River Street in Savannah for St. Patrick's Day.  I don't know why, but Savannah is one of the top cities for St. Patrick's Day celebrations.  Search for River Street St. Patrick's Day and you'll see some crazy crowds.

Dani, that is exactly how I am with Pea soup.  One bowlful is never enough for me!  I just love it.

The kabano sticks look like it is spicy, perhaps?

My parents also lived in Savannah when my dad was in the Army.

We had always heard that Savannah had the biggest St. Patrick's Day Parade, so after we retired, Jim, retired FDNY firefighter, and our friend Greg, also FDNY,  we met up and stayed in Savannah for a couple of days, in order to see the "biggest" parade.  Jim and Greg always marched up Fifth Avenue in NYC for St. Patrick's Day.  I also marched one year with the Hibernians.  Anyway, long story short, there was not one Bagpipe and Drums Band, not one contingency of firefighters nor police.  We were shocked, since NYC and Boston are notorious for these marchers. We also have many marching bands as well as many High Schools and Colleges.   While we enjoyed the Parade and festivities that go along with St. Patrick's Day, we still couldn't believe how much different our parades are.  Savannah's parade consisted mainly of Military Schools and then families pulling their decorated wagons and kids riding bikes.  When the young boys from the Military Schools marched by, you saw many of them with lipstick on their faces, from girls running up to them to plant a kiss!  Too cute!
