There were only a few guys out there but they all had wet suits tops on and that helps a lot. They are shivering in between runs because they are wet so they wrap themselves in towels. But they have a good time when they're doing it. The lines are shorter. Only the die-hards are out there. DH is still a beginner and he likes the short lines so he wouldn't have to wait so long for his turn. That is indeed corn dogs but half the size. Maybe a whole one is too much to eat. DH had one and he said it was good.

Hopefully it will be a cheap and fast fix. The beaches in the panhandle are beautiful. No, it's 10 anniversary of our buying it brand new is this year. 😮 We had already decided to sell it after using it this one last time, this really pushed our decision to stick with it...after we get stuck with the repair bill that is. 😉 Flying up to Maine to rent a car and the VRBO homes this last summer really worked out well. Much easier than driving the land yacht up to Maine from Florida. And with no cats to travel with us any longer...it's just not the same anyway. And agree. The beaches of the Panhandle, IMHO...are the prettiest in the world. 🙂

Same thing happened to one of my good friends and their RV except they were in the middle of nowhere when it broke down. Good that it happened close to home and at the start. Will find out soon how quickly we can get it in to see the RV doctor.

As you said though, you were fortunate to make it back home without being towed. Good luck getting it fixed as quickly as possible so you can then travel on to the Panhandle. Thanks! Bucky just returned. Earliest the RV service people can even look at it is Thursday. Will keep our fingers crossed we can salvage some of trip. Most important thing is to get it fixed. Then get it sold before anything else happens!! 😬 Renting vacation homes is really looking sweeter now all the time. Though in a perfect world...restarting the cruising is even more sweet! Hope to be doing that again. 🤗 Edited September 20, 2021 by island lady

We are in much calmer seas now. We can check out the ship some more. Forecast for today is cloudy with chance of rain. We took the Express shuttle to Mendenhall Glacier and hiked the Nugget Falls Trail which is 2 miles round trip. There you will see the waterfall and as close as you can to the glacier. Tonight’s entertainment will be a Virtual Symphony featuring The American Philharmonic and a Virtual Concert with Santa Fe and The Fat City Horns in the Two270. Then it’s back to Music Hall to listen to the band the Royal Swedes. Tomorrow we reach Skagway. Thanks for taking us along...and giving me the opportunity to relive fond old memories!! 🙂
