I keep forgetting to book our free cruise. Need to do that before January, thanks for the reminder.

Miss the Equinox. We haven’t been on her since 2019. Have a great cruise.

That’s a lot of Lysol. Celebrity is providing it?

Beautiful pictures.

Nooooo! I take a spray and a can if wipes. 😄 the mirror is making them seem many.

Do you get a balcony discount for being Elite? The balcony discount and five drink vouchers are pretty valuable to me on RCI.

No.

Celebrity's equivalent is called a "one category upgrade". Which does mean that you book ocean view and get upgrade to a Balcony. It means that if you book, for example, a Balcony 2 category,  you get a Balcony 1. The upgrade is a cabin within the same category you book that is within  Ocean view or within Balcony. You cannot book ocean view to get the Balcony. You book a lower Balcony and get a one up from that Balcony you booked. ....within the general category of Balcony cabins.

Have I confused you enough?😊

No confusion, thanks. I had thought you could go from OV to OVB. Your post was very helpful.

That's what I thought too. Till it was clarified and resolved. It's nice that you get some benefits. In my opinion, there are no benefits that match up to Royal's C n A benefits such as the 5 drink vouchers loaded to sea pass, the d lounge, the balcony discounts, and some other small stuff. Plus the casino people tell me that Royal's Club Royale has far more benefits and easier to get to tiers than Celebrity's Blue Chip.

Celebrity elite drinks can only be used bw 5 and 7 pm. Drink list is pathetic even to a teetotaler like me. Lounge is not dedicated like Royal c n a or diamond lounge. I am not complaining but any means. I am only trying to explain different benefits.

I believe you get one bag of laundry, that is only elite perk we ever use , since we are both elite we get 2.

I understand from another site that there is a Lily selection in Equinox’s shops.  L can probably be found there…

😆 yes yes! I have been "admiring" that section every two hours! It is becoming dangerous!

I hope to meet J and L at the Captain's Club thing this noon, unless they are elsewhere. Will check at Martini Bar in the evening as well before 6.30 pm.

Tomorrow in Aruba we have day pass to Renaissance Island.

They were in Martini bar last night waiting for you

even ordered you a few Martinis 🍸 🫒

I agree with both of you. The laundry is a great benefit IMO.  Another one I forgot to mention is priority tendering in those ports; nice to not have to worry about getting a number and waiting to be called.
Also, being able to go straight to your cabin upon embarking to drop off any carryons is a really nice Celebrity feature.  This isn’t a Captain’s Club perk, it’s for all guests.

I’m really struggling with packing for this upcoming trip.  Since the weather might be questionable, I feel like I have to be prepared for several possibilities.  I hope the forecasters have a better idea by Wednesday as we fly to Ft Lauderdale Thursday and I’d like to not have to bring an extra bag.

I’ve been pouring over all the forecasts and they are all over the place. Fort Lauderdale looks partly cloudy on Friday and Saturday looks sunny. St. Croix looks good but Tortola may be partly cloudy with the possibility of showers off and on. I figure on bringing a light rain jacket .

Plastic poncho would be good to cover you and belongings under it. And not make you hot

And you can just drape it anyway around your neck so hands are free. Fashion statement

Good idea and takes up less room.

That is a really good idea.  And easier to keep a backpack dry as well rather than having to wear it over a light jacket.
