Should I bother?

I can start our on line check in tomorrow for our November 1st cruise out of Baltimore.  Should I start it or just come to the conclusion that this cruise and future cruises are going to be cancelled till whenever. Anyone else start their on line check in for an upcoming cruise?

I did. I printed out all of our cruising docs the 2nd day online check in became available. Only for the cruise to be cancelled the very next week.  The only thing that happened was I wasted a bunch of printer and the printer ink. What can it hurt to complete online check in and print your cruise docs?

My cruise is in October. I'm not panicking. I'm not writing to the CEO on where is my update. I'm just waiting to hear if it happens or not. In the meantime, I am looking at backup vacation options because there is zero chance I don't take any vaca.

What's the downside to waiting until you get final word on the cruise?

When you complete your on line check in when it first becomes available you're more likely to receive your requested arrival time than if you wait until the last minute.

I never arrive prior to 1:30 pm so that I can go straight to my cabin. Arrival time really isn't that critical since all ticketed passengers will be allowed on the ship. Yes, I get that some people like to get on as early as possible but folks will survive if they have to wait a hour or so.

We also have an October cruise and looking at all inclusive resorts in the yucatan south of Cancun just as a backup. As I understand it right now hotels in Mexico are at 30% occupancy with the beaches closed to local residents.

We are Platinum and still never arrive before one. Never felt like we were missing anything.

I had just completed online check in and was going to print out docs when I found out my May 24th cruise was cancelled.

It was the only time I'd ever done check in that early.

From now on I'll just wait till last minute...IF we ever sail again LOL

If you are booked on the Pride out of Baltimore for 15 days, then we are also booked on that cruise & paid in full.  I haven't done anything yet.  But we are platinum, so boarding & dining times are not issues for us.  I will give it another few weeks- I do not see how it's possible for us to cruise, but am keeping my hope up.  Plus a few of our ports, if not all are not allowing entry.  Our itinerary would definitely change.  I'd be ok without any ports, just 15 days at sea- but I know that is not legally possible, so we just wait.

I'm not going to fill it out, already been thru printing it out, canc. No point in wasting the ink.

Someone on a rcl early Nov cruise tried to sign in and it said sign in closed. They said good sign the cruise ain't happening.

I get priority boarding so not worried about assigned times.

Fully paid for February 2021 and expecting to be in sunny and warm Miami. As soon as the boarding passes become available to print, we will print it. If the cruise gets cancelled, then we will book another cruise and go ahead as if it’s going to happen.

I checked in online yesterday for our 10/31 cruise on the Dream.  If it's canceled, I hope they don't drag it out.  I need a new passport.   I've heard people are waiting for months.  Mine expires at the end of January.  Our next cruise is scheduled for....the last week in January. (Not that it will necessarily sail, either 😕)

We had our final payment for Oct 18th changed to 8/31.  I'm not going to give them any more money.

How did you manage to postpone the last date for final payment

I called them and the first time they put it off for a week.  The second time they let me pick 8/31.  They know Bermuda is not allowing ships.
They have 3 cruises worth of money from us already.   We booked this particular cruise thru their casino department.  I'm sure they dont' want to alienate us any more than they have already.
So knowing full well this cruise will be cancelled, they gave us the extra time.  We upgraded to a suite so our cabin is not free.
