ABC of Ports in Photos

Not much in the way of cruise ships on my remaining V's, but enjoyable places to visit.  I have much nicer Venice pictures tucked away in the loft, from pre-digital days. Unfortunately our 2011 visit was dull and damp

We are due to go to Venice in October 2021.  If we get there, and there's an excursion to Burano, I'm on it

We went by waterbus from the stop near where the ship docks, you have change at Murano but you easily have time to do both. We did both and our ship left at 3:00 on our 2nd day.

Thank you, that's interesting to know.

Hopefully we won't still  be on 'bubbled' excursions by then

Fog had delayed our arrival until around 2.30pm, had spent most of the morning listening to fog horns in the lagoon.

Venice is lovely to walk around.

We walked from Piazza Roma to St Marks square then walked back and crossed the Rialto bridge.

Last time we were there no restaurant cooked Garlic Bread.

They said it is an English thing not Italian.

We were in Valetta on the day of my husbands 65th birthday as part of a Mediterranean cruise on Aurora in April 2019.It was also Aurora's birthday during the cruise. The 3rd photo shows the framed print that I had made for my husband for his birthday

So many amazing photos so thank you for making this very strange 'travel-less' time more bearable!

We haven't visited many Ws but here is what I have.....

Fred Olsen, Boudicca, Wewak, Papua New Guinea....The local people were so pleased to see ship arrive and they gave us a fabulous welcome. I love Fred Olsen's small ships because they can get into such unusual ports and they have great itineraries. I loves Adonia for the same reason.

Ocean Princess, Walvis Bay, Namibia

The second picture shows our tour group getting up close to a very friendly pelican when we went for a boat excursion across the bay. There were lots of flamingos too
