You make your reservation of choice as soon as you board. Call or go to the Crown Grill to reserve.

Our experience always has been that on embarkation day we get a card in our cabin with the day, time, and reserved by Princess on our behalf

Never a problem changing it by calling the DINE line

Just off phone. Have a basic fare booking. Although see specialty dining promo available was quoted additional $25 or $29 price of dining to basic fare and told cabin upgrade didn’t apply to basic fare, only BSE fare.

Did you ask for BSE but without

Plus perks?

This would be a refare, not merely adding dinner, and your fare could change

I booked a B to B to B cruise to Australia and New Zealand yesterday under princess plus. I saw the BSE sale started so  I called back to day.  I was able to move from  a DD to a DB, get free specialty dining on all 3 cruises and saved a total of $800.  I am a  happy camper,

Checked out B2B2B Australia/New Zealand cruises for January 2022. Nope. They are all still just listed as Princess Plus. I see a bunch of other cruises to the same areas listed with the Best Sale Ever but ours are not included.

It’s definitely cruise by cruise because one of ours has the sale and the other  one doesn't...the one with the sale went up over $500..no thanks, I’ll keep my old booking😁

You might want to call.  According to the PDF in OP's post Princess says:

"All cruises and cruisetours are included in this sale. Free stateroom location upgrade is not available on cruises 66 days or longer."

I just repriced one cruise under the sale. I upgraded my stateroom location from Mid-Aft (OC) to Midship (OB), saved $80 per person on cruise fare, saved $5.60 per person on Princess Vacation Protection, and received free specialty dining for two. Not much, but still worth the phone call.

Another cruise had a fare increase, so I didn't change. Two other cruises were not available for the sale, because my stateroom category (S7) was sold out. One problem with sales is that you cannot reprice to a current sale unless a stateroom in your category is available for sale.

No price change for one of my cabins and a $100 savings for the other and picked up specialty dining. Do we get to choose where we dine or do they do it for us? I'd prefer to try the Crown Grill.

When there is a large number of passengers with this promotion, Princess will leave a card in your cabin with the restaurant name, date and time. If that is not the restaurant, date or time you want, contact a specialty restaurant to switch to what you want.

We are booked on the November 28, 2021 Island Princess transatlantic. We already had Princess Plus, so I used the chat feature on their website to see if I could get the Specialty Dining perk added without a change, or a significant change, to my booking. I was on the chat for about an hour, and honestly, at one point I thought it wasn't worth it to add two dinners. But I stayed on while the rep would check on this or that. At the end of the session, I not only had the Dining added, but our cruise was reduced by almost $700! I feared my chat rep might have made an error, but I checked prices and the cost on the website had gone down. So, not only did I gain almost $700, two dinners and but I got to keep the $200 per person OBC Princess gave us a few weeks ago when they moved the embarkation date up a week.

That’s great!

I usually use a TA , but yesterday called after I received the email I mentioned in my above post. By clicking on the BSE/ casino offer email I could check my reduced rate, but by making the call the rep offered me a much lower fare & reduced deposits. Always best to do some comparisons, in my opinion I wouldn’t rule anything out.

I had no wait time at all.

The rep coulda simply added the dining ... because that is all you asked for.

Perhaps my request wasn’t clear. A different agent added the dining perk today with no price changes.

I know, right? And honestly, I probably would have been none the wiser. I'm guessing "Tony" was new, he had to keep checking on stuff, but he did me a favor, and I'm very happy.

Watching the Princess presentation about this stuff and it's specifically asked if it's for "new bookings only" and the answer given is "Yes, it is for new bookings only." Interesting that folks seem to be getting it added on anyway.

At this point, I think they're grateful to have folks still willing to book. Do they really want the hassle of cancelling bookings so the customer can re-book to get the added perk? It's simply easier to add the perk. Less hassle for both the agent, and the client.

In this crazy time, it's reassuring to know that some things haven't changed - such as getting different answers from Princess employees depending on who you ask.  🤣

Our PVP refared 6 of our bookings today with price drops on 4, increase of $2 on two and added the speciality dinner.   The increase of $2 was more than offset with the speciality dinner as we are traveling with kids and grandkids.  Well worth it.

Our PVP reached out to us to refare.
