For a first time on Celebrity-is Apex better than Edge?

In 2022 I might sail on Celebrity for the first time and I was wondering if you consider the Apex better than the Edge and why.

Good question.  But, no one has sailed on Apex yet except crew.  😊

There are some differences, different art collections...but basically  they will be similar,   No idea of future itineraries, Capts or CDs....pricing....

Basically they are the same ship.  Differences in art (paintings & sculptures) decor but until passengers are onboard no one has first hand experience.  I would book based on itinerary.

IM so lost when it comes to celebrity lol I though she was already at sea before the pandemic

I made two Edge cruises in 2019 and loved Her. So booked on Apex for a 2021 Thanksgiving cruise. Looked at the deck and displays on the Celebrity website and agree with the other posts there is little difference. So go with what is handiest for you. 

 

One of those ‘can’t lose’ choices!

No problem at all.  That is what the boards are for.  I would be lost on RCI because I haven't Sao;ed on their ships in quite a while.  😁

One venue has changed: they're replacing the Edge casino bar with a craft beer and cocktail bar on Apex.

The casino bar on Edge was oddly located. It was off the casino floor (not integrated with the casino well) and didn't really work with the flow of the space.

 

Separating it into a different venue with unique options seems like a smart move to drive guests into the bar.

I would totally agree with this.  It's a weird space, but considering there's no card room it's not a bad place to sit and play.  The Eden restaurant overlooking the wake (when closed of course) is another really nice card spot.

We found great card spots on the ramp that wraps around Eden....great views and great places to relax. And to answer about the differences, I think (not for sure at all) that Apex may have more shade covering on the upper deck area.

Yes, they added some around the Rooftop Garden Grill.
