I'm not so sure its losing money so much so as just generally spending money in the Casino.

My aunt played jackpot till she upgraded to the next casino loyalty tier. Something like 3000 or 5000 points racked up in her card. Gives her free alcoholic drinks in the bar with no limit (or we didn't reach the limit).

Yes, free alcohol wherever the casino is open is definitely a nice perk.  We are both prime casino members and we receive at least 2 or 3 free cruise options every month.   Last month we had at least 5 free offers for various sailings up thru spring 2022.    last offer for both of us is free OV on Odyssey sailings early 2022.   We usually combine our offers and upgrade to a large OV Balcony or JS or sometimes we turn them into b2b's.

:O. I envy that. I'll probably not be playing nearly that much to qualify for such good offers anytime soon!

I'm not in the casino as much as my Dh is.  We both play the slots.  Harder to reach if you play table games.

Just how much do you have to lose per cruise gambling to get these free room offers.

When we lived in NJ, it was just a 55 minute ride to Atlantic City if we ever wanted to gamble so never wasted our time in a casino on a cruise.

So I assume the more money you lose in the casino on a cruise ship is the way you get these free rooms, or are my thoughts wrong as to how these free rooms are attained.

My parents always taught me, nothing in life is free? You have to work for it.( in this case lose  $$$ in their casino's)

Yeah I got the offer as well, and yes nothing is free. However, based on my spread sheet over the last three years (Of which I have only paid for the Non RCI cruises, the last cruise I paid for with RCI was Oasis in Sept 2017) it is costing me far less than if I booked and paid for all the sailings that I have had. Every upcoming sailing in my signature right now is comped, and most are JS.

The only real limit is "when the casino is open."  🙂

I have been Prime for several years and have never - NEVER - received a free cruise option.  NEVER.  I even missed out on my first two free "tier" cruises through their poor bookkeeping and communication.

That stinks.  Do you regularly check the clubroyaleoffers.com site?

New annual tier cruises are to be added to prime and up in a couple weeks.

You don't have to "lose" a certain amount, but play it.  Of course more often than not playing means losing 🙂

Laura got a bunch in 2019 for Mariner and Adventure. We both got Empress that summer.

I turned Prime in November 2019 and I haven't gotten anything but my tier sailing.

There is no casino royal tier of Platinum.  There is Choice, Prime, Signature and Masters.

Platinum is that person's Crown and Anchor designation.  My Casino offers say Pinnacle on them and I am prime in the Casino. The Odyssey offer was given to me as well, but I am already booked for that cruise.

Hey neighbor!  Are you Signature or Masters?

Hiya, Signature, and full disclosure, my Husband is the gambler in the family. I'm probably one of the few Asians that doesn't gamble, lol.

Do you mind sharing what free cruise you earned on your last sailing?
I’m Signature and earned a free balcony on my last cruise 2/21/20.
My offers have been free JS’s and balconies. Now I’m only getting free OV and insides.

TBH our last cruise was a comped 4 night on the Navigator in March 2020 that my husband actually never set foot in the casino. The Royal cruise before that was in Nov/Dec 2019 was a 16night Suez Canal cruise on the Jewel ot Seas which he earned 10,080 points. I don't remember what cabin category the certificate was but I remembered more than half of the cruises listed on the certificate were past and we never used the value of the certificate since we get so many other offers. That's the problem taking a cruise at the end of the year, the certificate had cruise dates I think only through March of the following year.

How different is it though?

From talking to the host this last cruise there is a different point system and she mentioned it takes longer to get to prime. Probably because of the limited number of sailings Royal currently offers out of AP region.

I was given prime as a match to my US account from before moving to Singapore and it was unclear if I’d earn “points” while sailing here.
