I’ve been to the buffet for breakfast and late lunch today, and been disappointed both times. I do prefer them serving us versus self-serve, even though it is a little slower. The food seems rather boring without much variety. Breads section is sparse. Seems like I’m missing a whole other half of a buffet or something. Dessert choices are great though. Anyone else have opinions?

On the buffet for lunch I'm really curious to know they used to have like a little Grill section right when you enter from the entrance where the pool deck is. On the sky princess they have an amazing grilled shawarma bar I guess with grilled shawarma and grilled vegetables does that exist on here?

One of my favorite things in the buffet otherwise I usually stick to the main dining room or Alfredo's or one of the grills outside pizza and burgers.

Such a long thread , has yet any Elites managed to swap out their minibar for the coffee (cards) package  yet ?

Or have I missed this and it is NOT possible anymore  ?

Whether you switch it out for coffee cards or a case of water they still do it as normal Per request

The little grill bit is there. Today looked like fajitas, but I was a bit late and it was running out.

For any one that read about our terrible experience with the app - we couldn't get it to work - spent hours on hold over several days - we are talking about probably 8 hours on hold! So no one could fix and then we were getting calls from our Travel Agent that they had called and said this or that wasn't done - I mean you wanted to pull your hair out!  After waiting for ever to get back on a ship I was so concerned that with being unable to upload things to them that we would have a process getting on. We were asked some health questions - our temperature wasn't even taken - it was less than 5 min and we were on the gang plank.

Beautiful ! ! ! Thank you SO much for this post.
You just set SO many minds to rest.

Don't you see it, just left of the EU plug?
It's both, like on any Princess ship. 😊

Actually when we were on the Majestic when it was sailing out of Sydney, they had Australian, European and US outlets at the desk.  I had saved a picture that I downloaded before our last trip on the Majestic and I copied it below.  Folks on the ship are reporting EU and US and if that is the case they've changed the outlets.  I was going to take along Aus and EU adapters just in case.

Aloha all, we are on the August 22nd sailing of the Majestic Princess. I read back to page 15 of this thread. Thank you so very much for posting such great details about your cruise, especially the pictures of the main dining room menus. Could someone please visit the Vines wine bar and take a picture of the tapas menu? Much Mahalo, John and Roseanne

Do you know if they are having the top 40 Most traveled with a lunch or a cocktail party or if they are having a get together for the folks and introducing the top 3 Most traveled? Thank you....

Great question. The best person for them to ask on board would be the captain circle host as they are in charge of the most traveled lunch/cocktail party.

Okay, silly question, but I don't know as I've previously travelled with my son who doesn't drink. I know there is not a cocktail menu for the MDR, but can you order cocktails in the MDR or do you need to bring them in with you?

TIA and sorry for the silly ask, but I wasn't sure if DMW made things different. ☺️

not sure if this has been asked but is there a Crooners on Board? I see it by the casino, hopefully it's on this ship - our favorite place to hang before dinner

This was answered earlier and there is not. There is a piano bar elsewhere, but it's not like Crooners.

Or Vines (Vines type bar)

I'm assuming that the crew, even if they're not Princess "rookies," are new to each other. Do they seem to be working smoothly together in venues where you can observe them, such as bars and restaurants? Or are things kind of disjointed?

Thank you. I will go through 28+ lattes .... that's just 4 a day

Can you ask your friend:

[1] was he comped the 1st drink on the app

[2] is the CC Party an event or just a drink added to the app

Another question for someone aboard.  What are they calling the "VIP Gaming" area on the Alaska cruises?  This is the lounge that is next to the casino.  It functioned as a Crooners when we were on the Majestic in 2019 but I just wanted to know if there is an official name for it.  I'm preparing the officer invitations for our Meet & Greet on the August 8th sailing and was hoping to use the venue name rather than just say VIP Gaming area (lounge next to casino).  Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer!

So is Princess now doing 2 formal nights for a seven day cruise?  I thought it was always 1 and if you didn't want to go, you could just go to the buffet or order room service.

It's always been 2
