Thanks. Just checked Celebrity's website, and they have a West TA from Barcelona that leaves for Ft Lauderdale on November 11. That would give us 3 days to get from Lisbon to Barcelona to hop on the Celebrity cruise back. If they have reinstated downlining we could actually just stay in Lisbon and pick up the ship when it docks there.

Constellation departs BCN on 7 November, and Silhouette on the 16th.  Constellation would be a tight fit in having to fly to BCN and embark by 3pm.  We'll see what Royal has to offer when their Fall  schedules come out.

We were looking at the Silhouette crossing but I must have misread the date. We are continuing to plan alternatives for the gap but the opportunity is too good to pass up if we can work out the various options. The best outcome would be to be able to pick up the Constellation down line when it port stops in Lisbon.

The problem with that, you miss 4 days of cruising and 3 ports if you count Barcelona.  I just might consider flying to Valencia on the 7th, spending the night, and boarding the morning of the 8th, if those details can be worked out with Celebrity.

That would work except that we don't fly any more. Have to check on train schedules. UGGH...train doesn't work well either - have to change trains 4 times en route🚅😞

Ahh gotcha. I will continue to look and switch my booking if something else opens up. Looking out of pc so we can take the little one to universal studios pre cruise.

PC already has Wonder doing 7 nights and Adventure doing the 6/8 rotation.  The only thing missing is who is doing the 3/4 day sailings.

Quick question for the "trackers" here, we're booked on a cruise that has disappeared from RCL website.

October 7, 2023 Panama Canal from San Diego to Tampa on Radiance.

The 5day from Tampa immediately following arrival is still showing.

Should we be concerned ?

It's only 2 weeks and a day or so.  Not sure what they are going to do other than hull maintenance and some cosmetics.  We're going to spend some time in Portugal and try to hitch a ride back to the States on either Royal or Celebrity.

We might have a reunion.  I like the idea of a November arrival and making my way to the Christmas markets in France/Germany at the end of the month, beginning of December.  Hope you guys are well and Happy Holidays!

Hey, looking forward to cruising with you again.  TRASH anyone?  LOL  We're taking Adventure over and on 7 Nov flying to BCN to board Constellation back to Tampa.

I've always wanted to do the Christmas Markets, but Maureen says it's too cold.  I keep telling her there's never bad weather, only bad clothes.  😉

Highly recommend Christmas on the Rhine w/ Viking. Weather is certainly not too cold - 30's when we were there in late November (similar to MW). It's magical....we booked again for '24 since Viking changed the itinerary to include some new towns!

Some interesting Developments happening in Asia right now.

Rumours have it 37 nights of sailings in Sept 2023 out of Singapore has been cancelled thus far from the website, but not officially announced. Either could be a series of charters or perhaps, Spectrum is leaving SG and going back to HK earlier than planned. This opens the doors to questions of what ship will replace Spectrum in Singapore.

We kept waiting for the Jewel of the Seas Artic Circle out of Amsterdam to Boston in August of 2024 to post. It's been sitting in drafts for weeks. I finally got fed up waiting and started looking around and found a Iceland, Greenland, and Norway on NCL in September of 2024 that was far more exciting to my tastes. The price, with all the perks was a lot better than the price RC was offering for the August 2023 Artic Circle cruise, which I was using for comparison. I'm just not going to be exclusive to RC anymore, to  me, they have kinna burned that bridge.

There isn’t enough ports to support a Oasis class just yet so it would have to be a Quantum class.

Unless it’s Ovation or Quantum (which I doubt) it would have to be Anthem.

Yes i definitely don't think it'll happen so soon. Doesn't Anthem have ports scheduled already this year?

I do know that the tourism board had an agreement for a 5 year contract of at least a Quantum class ship in SG. I think that was signed in 2017, which means it could be the end of the contract, or there are just no sailings from Singapore for that period because it is chartered and blocked out.

It looks like to me they are running another Singapore to Tokyo cruise on Spectrum calling Hong Kong both directions.

The demand in Oz has been very high for the original.

Then shouldn't it be 24 nights instead of 37 nights blocked out?

Not really.

Your cruise was cancelled yesterday on the app.

Hong Kong ports have changed the port bookings yesterday.

Now just sit back and wait to see what happens.

I wonder if the Singapore to Tokyo will become a regular thing with interporting.

Looks that way Chilli.

The Yokohama ones must be more revenue.

IS this a sign that things are not too crash hot on the local Singapore cruises at this time of the year?
But surely the Japan ones will a have a lot of high tier cruisers just using the free drink vouchers and cashing out the OBC in the casino.
