I really, REALLY, do not care for the 2x2x2x2x seating (and it's in so many places now). You might as well be at the same table. In our three nights in there I witnessed the same tables near us engaging in pleasantries and conversation throughout most of their meals. If you're planning on a special meal with someone, it might not turn out as you expected it to.

Is Rudi's the same layout?  Hit or miss if your next table is 12 inches apart.  Sometimes it works out and sometimes it's just plain awkward.  We are booked at Rudi's 3 times in October.

Pool on lido is sloshing side to side but that’s the only way I would even know we were moving Mardi Gras is a big girl and rides like it.

I thought Carnival was nuking people’s reservations that needed oxygen? Just passed an older lady in a wheelchair with an oxygen mask attached to her face?

That was my thought. The glass is like that more toward the front of the ship, all across the front of the Serenity Deck. Perhaps it has to do with the headwinds to some extent. Deck 8 has a lot of open deck along the sides and it doesn't go up over eye level for an adult in that space, which is nice.

 

But the center Lido pool area is solid glass to the sides. Not a big deal since the pool is open but certainly compared to ships with opening windows in comparable areas it is a noticeable change and I do wonder if all newbuilds across the industry will be like this.

 

And to this day I still hope he was/is "just" dumb. And not something worse.

It’s not but I am watching a movie and a bunch of kids have gotten together running around being obnoxious. I guess parents think since we are on a ship Adult supervision is optional

That seems to be common, unfortunately, with some of the families with children.  I hope you can still enjoy the movie.

Surprisingly well actually well it’s day one so we will see what the rest of the week holds. Only places I honestly wear mine is the buffet and shops and casino. 
 

Time to go to bed and get rocked to sleep running in all of six hours of sleep and been up since 6am lol.

 

Also They have these WiFi repeaters EVERYWHERE. I have never experienced WiFi on a cruise that has been this good.
