Folks: I got a buzz celebrating my 61st in Vero Beach and got into a conversation with The Boss as we approach our upcoming Regent cruise, we have been discussing our most memorable meals. What are yours?

Ours are the incredible prime rib upon boarding and the panko shrimp as well as the Alaskan king crab legs in Prime 7. We also love the miso sea bass.

oh oy...there have been many.

First one I can think of was on a trip in the med, when we had a dinner with new found friends from Australia (we are still friends to this day and they have visited us many times). They had ordered a special meal and Compass Rose was more than happy to provide. Then our waiter (Richard) came and suggested that...today's special...lobster tails....were just the perfect addition to it. And yes, he was absolutely correct.

Then on another trip we invited family to join us and we had many many wonderful family dinners.

Or...having dinner at Compass Rose, having wonderful staff suggest different dishes or wine (Arpad, Franciso, Hendra, etc...)

Or... various dishes we always get...

Or... First time in Pacific Rim...

I do like Prime 7, but then I do great steaks at home...

Or...coming back late from an excursion in the middle east. We all decide to go to the Sette Mari.... dinner was excellent, except...on of our group did not get his dinner...something happened. Did he (or we) get upset ? Nope... we shared with him, the staff apologized etc.  No big deal...plenty of food in Sette Mari anyway. But... then...the next day... Regent made up to him...  and then some. Someone noticed, someone remembered and...

One of our most memorable meals was in the Caribbean when we asked our waiter if the chef could possibly make either conch fritters or conch chowder for us for dinner one night.  It was a 14 night cruise, so we were hoping the chef would be able to source a small amount of conch at some point.

Well, not only did the chef grant our wish, he sought us out to thank us for our suggestion and made enough conch chowder for all the passengers to enjoy if they wished as it was featured on the dinner menu.  It was delicious.

We also love the king crab legs in Prime 7.  Ask them to de-shell them.  We find that a half-order is more than enough to share!  Yum!  We also the love fact that shrimp, scallops, lobster can be ordered from the "always available menu."  And the glazed sea bass is a must-have when it's featured.

Thank, Z, for starting this thread!  We have a cruise booked next October.   It's a l-o-n-g time to wait,  but great Regent memories will tide us Over!

I agree Dover Sole is one of my favorites.  The presentation is so lovely in addition to the taste.

But I also have to mention the caramel, chocolate, popcorn and vanilla ice cream Sunday in Prime 7.  We asked for it to be split and the servings were still very very large.

There have been so many memorable meals.  But the best had to be one Thanksgiving dinner in CR with a large group (including Z and TB) that I will treasure forever.

Aw...I remember that one too...we were there, as were J&D. We're sailing with them on the Splendor TA in Nov....we'll miss all of you, but will have celebratory bloodies and margaritas at the pool bar. Will toast our other BM&M Society members....haha!

Wow, that is a large serving--unusual on Regent for a dessert to be huge.

Is the Prime Rib in Prime 7 or Compass Rose? Making notes for my first Regent cruise in January.

On our case, I was thinking of the buffet  Prime Rib served in La Veranda upon boarding. It is a perfect first meal to kick off one’s cruise.
As others have stated, there are many memorable meals to include Dover Sole, miso sea bass, and panko shrimp. Others include the incredible meals  we have had in Pacific Rim. Love the lamb chops and ribs.
We will be sailing on the Mariner’s transatlantic cruise on 31 Oct and look forward to many more memorial meals and to continue recruiting for the BM&M society from the third stool at the pool bar.

Mudhen, is that this year in November???  Or is it the Explorer?  We are booked for the TA Splendor this Nov.  it would be great to see you again.

Alas, no....Nov. 2022....Splendor. We're doing the Rome to Barcelona trip first, then we're picking up Jackie and Dennis in Barcelona...haha! As I said, we'll be toasting the BM&M Society members at the pool bar, as often as possible. Maybe you guys would like to do the trip again??!!(giggle!)

Too many choices to think of.   My fav would be lamb chops at Prime 7(potato gratin anywhere!) and Pat’s would be the ribs at Pacific Rim or  lobster tempura.  I have to admit that we haven’t been big fans of Chartreuse but are going to really try it again next cruise.  OMG, thinking about this, I could give a list of at least 20 favourites for each of us….we really love Sette Mari too…but really the most important part of the ‘favs’ is the servers and sommeliers who make it so great.

Everything was wonderful on our first and only(so far) Regent cruise, but I have to say the chicken in Chartruese was to die for, along with the floating island for dessert, though there was some lemon raspberry dessert in Compass Rose that was a fave, too.

Then there was something like Osso  Bucco in Sette Mari that was very memorable. I tend to like food that takes a lot of effort and time to prepare(without me having to do it)😁
