tlund Posted September 14, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2021 We are Diamond but never booked anything higher than a hump balcony. We just booked a 2 bedroom Grand Suite on the Oasis in December. Thought we got a good price at $1800 pp (if not, we'd like to know if we overpaid). Never used a concierge and never had any suite class (sea, sky or star) before. Any tips on taking advantage of all of the benefits (of which we haven't even looked at), etc. So excited!! 2

How many did you book into the suite? If it was 2 you got a great deal.
George C Posted September 14, 2021 #3 Share Posted September 14, 2021 Great price , great ship , you will be totally spoiled , concierge can help with any problems or help booking specialty restaurants etc, love being escorted off at end of cruise, love reserved seats for the shows ( only thing you need to prebook is comedy club) room and bathroom are much larger along with balconies. You can have all your meals in Costal Kitchen, I personally am not that impressed with dinner in CK but do eat all lunch and breakfast there , view is fantastic in CK. Drinks in suite lounge which is in same room as CK.
Cigar King Posted September 14, 2021 #4 Share Posted September 14, 2021 Personally I'd suggest you order dinner one night. It's nice to have surf and turf on the balcony.

Yes, it was priced for just the 2 of us. The 1 bedroom was also the same price but we chose the 2 bedroom since it had 2 showers (so we can both get ready for dinner at the same time) and the balcony was bigger. Don't need the 2nd bedroom, but we liked the separate living room in case we wanted to watch something different on TV.

Love the drinks in the suite lounge since we will have 4 other drinks on our card for the rest of the day.

New to us as we never ordered room service in our prior cabins. Great idea.

cruz_happy Posted September 14, 2021 #9 Share Posted September 14, 2021 We book Grand Suites almost exclusively. (We do enjoy our quiet time sin the cabin.) Love them and the perks you get. But be forewarned, very addicting. Concierge can help you with whatever; get to know him or her. Remember you have reserved seating area in theatre, ice shows, other shows, and reserved sun deck space ( although usually higher deck than pool level). Most times (not always our experience) the concierge escorts you off the ship past the crowds in ports that tender and debarkation. The balcony will have loungers as well as table and chairs. (I have been known to take naps on the lounger with the sound of the sea hitting the side of this ship.). Do have room service at least once. We haven’t been on ships with CK yet but you get MDR menu you can order from for room service. If other questions and you think I can help, please just let me know. Enjoy your suite experience.
Chiliburn Posted September 14, 2021 #10 Share Posted September 14, 2021 The bad news is ,you will be spoilt. You can use your 4 diamond drinks anywhere through the day and go to the suite lounge for happy hour. I will second the free room service, you will get a private number for the kitchen. You can order just about anything and the portions are huge. The hamburger Royal is great.
forgotmyCCname Posted September 14, 2021 #11 Share Posted September 14, 2021 That's a great price for even the one "bedroom" which isn't really a bedroom. 2 bathrooms is the best!

Great deal we are paying about 1k more for a one bedroom grand suite on Allure in November. Love having the second bathroom we had that on our last cruise in July on Celebrity, I might do a up sell to get that if it’s offered.

Thanks. My husband said the same thing. It will be hard to go back to a regular room. Seems like the room service is recommended by everyone. Would have never thought of it. Will definitely do that.

Being escorted of the ship is pretty good for the ego and if there’s a line getting back on or anywhere ,just flash your card and watch the faces drop. We where on a ship tour in vila vanuatu ( the stetting of Mchales navy ) and there was a 50 meter line to get on the ship ,just before sailing. Every one was carrying on and we just flashed our gold card. Security escorted us on to the ship, should have seen the dirty looks.
Surfguyxxx Posted September 14, 2021 #18 Share Posted September 14, 2021 As cruz_happy stated, they're very addicting. The extra room, the abundance of drawers and closets, the bathtub and even the fruit and cookies daily brought to your stateroom. The attendants are seasoned and go the extra mile for you in the event you need something. The concierge is there to help too, so take advantage of that perc (without being a PIA). For example, we requested to talk to a future cruise person and they came to the suite lounge to discuss options. The backstage tours, the bridge and the kitchen are always a fun afternoon or two also. Have fun.

Booked in an OS on Harmony in March and I’m afraid it’s gonna spoil us for anything else 🙄
