Boy, I’m the one who cruises (between me & hubby). But he’s the one who gets the low offers, yes I DO think it’s because he gambles.

Of course, I have never seen these $5 or $50 rates …

 Sigh ….

From what I've read around here, the offers are random.

surprised since there is so much pent up demand. Why would they resort to this?

Actually I don't think there is pent up demand in the general population. Dedicated cruisers like me have been chomping at the bit, but most folks only know what they read in the news. All the news stories have been about how easy it is to catch covid on "confined" and "crowded" ships and how the CDC recommends against cruising. The only mention of pent up demand comes from the cruise lines. Just my thoughts...

That's what I was thinking when I read the poster say there was pent up demand. I read many who also say they will cruise again when masks are gone. I'd say fewer than ever people want to cruise right now. I didnt talk to anyone who paid as much as I did on my breeze cruise, not even those who had balconys paid anywhere near full price. Many got on for those $20 pp rates.

I dont see many any more solo rates for 1As like I did before. Every rate is doubled and solo supplement is back. Rates even discounted are down, but solo rates are creeping up.

Must be. Very random. I just checked the Freedom from Miami, and I certainly don’t have anything like that!

I’m not sure they are random.  For sure the gamblers are getting fantastic rates. Also, seems like some type of algorithm and wherever they get their data, it is based on previous onboard spending - spas, excursions, drinks, casino, etc.

My husband got a great rate email and we sailed on Vista last month.  I haven't gotten these rates myself and I've sailed more than him.  Lowest I see is $100 and that's for 3-4 day sailings.

Yesterday I received an e-mail with all of the discounted rates as low as $10. On this one though suites on the Miracle were $100 and you could even get the rear wrap arounds for $150. Hadn't seen that before. It is code P6U.
